No idea whether this is going to bankrupt me as yet, but I've just put a deposit on this....

Gorgeous, gorgeous looking car and pretty much original. Just had an engine rebuild and even comes with a warranty. What can possibly go wrong...

Beautiful. I don't think you've made a mistake if your eyes are open.

Just shy of 8k. Can't see them going down in value anytime soon smile

Very nice. I think where it all goes wrong is with the quest for more power...and more power...and more power.....

Always liked the RX-7 but that was before having an RX-8, really would quite like one now but no where to put it and wouldn't get used. frown

What a fantastic looking car, nearly 20 years old who would believe it!
Given the recent rebuild and warranty you should be all set, but yes more details and pictures please lick

Sadly there isn't anymore pictures yet as I don't pick the car up until the end of October! It's going to be a bloody long wait I can tell you. I'll update this thread as I go along, hopefully proving that it doesn't cost a million pound using one as a weekend toy.
Engine wise it's standard, and actually still needs its 1,000 mile run in after it's rebuild - just like a new car eh...

Future plans for it include wheels and probably Coilovers although not sure which yet. Maybe power will be increased eventually, but not for a while.

It's definitely going to be a keeper though, and will get to as many PH shows/runs as possible.

Looks a nice one.

Single turbo 400bhp track car RX-7's are fun (see my profile).

Your wheels already look non standard. I went for 18" BBS split rims and for coilovers Tein's.

Was thinking about some TE37 replicas (Rotas) but I'm open to other suggestions.

I can imagine! Twin turbo with 280 will be enough for now though hehe

Looks like a lovely example. And a great price too! Values seem to be creeping up at the moment.

If you don't start modifying it it won't bankrupt you, they're positively cheap to run as a weekend toy. Plus what else looks that good!

In time Brad, in time.

The Rex is a more timeless shape IMO.

Is it possible for under 25s to insure these on classic policy?

Lovely car that. If you treat the engine as a consumeable part, and get in with the owners clubs, you'll have a lot of fun, and not go bankrupt.
