Is it possible for under 25s to insure these on classic policy?
I'm 22 and I'm being quoted about £900 on comparethemarket!

Cheap I thought.

I had my first one at 20, and paid something like £1500, followed by £800 at 21.

No need to treat the engine as a consumable. Just treat the car properly, and remember heat is the main killer.

Very regular oil/filter changes, regular coolant and spark plug changes. Make sure the cooling system is tip-top. If insurance allows, fit an uprated radiator. Fit an after market water temperature gauge as the standard one is crap, an Apexi PFC commander can do this for you if you wanted to go down the modifying route.

Also, think about getting some ducting made up for the oil cooler intakes on the front bumper. The 99 spec front is lovely, but standard there was no ducting, fit some and it does wonders for oil temps. R Magic in Japan do them, or just make some up yourself and save a load of cash.

There is vast amounts of information out there on making 13bs reliable.

I don't think it'd be the best daily car at all! Given service intervals, oil changes etc etc

Great advice, thanks smile

Think it has an Uprated radiator after looking through all of the reciepts. But will look into the other points you've mentioned smile

Ah man that's beautiful. Love the '99 front end and if that's still std it's a keeper for sure.

One of my biggest regrets is letting go of my old RX-7:

It certainly won't be getting any crazy body kits or the like. Only small changes like Coilovers etc.

Definitely will be a keeper I think!

Sir, I salute you. These are beautiful, beautiful cars and sound amazing. I wouldn't have the balls myself but I genuinely hope this is good for you. The very definition of head turner for me.

It's too long to wait! No idea how guys who are on waiting lists for years cope.

I'm considering being a bit rash and buying an Aventador, so I may have to change my user name too!

Can't stand it. Was so disappointed when I saw it.

Saying that, I may wait until the spyder version is shown before I make my mind up.

Aventadors may be big, but my god they are fast and I've never owned a V12.
