Ah, great to see you found him! Where was he?
Just read through both of your threads on a very quiet day at work (holiday cover, boo. Time off in lieu, woo) - really enjoyable. Thanks
Good afternoon Mr. BenWRXSEIJust read through both of your threads on a very quiet day at work (holiday cover, boo. Time off in lieu, woo) - really enjoyable. Thanks
Scotty Whatty (or the little %#$@ as he is now known) was languishing here.
My brother -in-law's dedicated carp angling van.
Note C.A.R.P. not crap.
Little %#$@ now confined to quarters.
I'm now off to do something more productive.
Got to see a man about his drowned Moggy.
Plus 4 not pussy.
Bloody animals.
Cheers Whatty.
Tuesday December 30th.
Busy day ahead.
Need to drop off the FoMo Mongrel at the poodle parlour for some TLC.
Excellent start.
Plan B.
Read Papers.
Mr. Branson is not having a good PR year.
'Whatty's' is a going a bit better.
Have a ......
Not sure about the genius bit though.
Took me a while to get here.
About 23 years. A dull tale of playing Cowboys & Indians, here and there.
Mr. Branson did take good of care me though.
Where as to get here. Took me about 5 minutes.
In a secluded salon for the discerning in deepest Norfolk.
Wash and brush up for this Transporter.
Barn find Italian Starlet X19
Former property of a Lady.
70k original miles.
New dye job needed.
WOW!
EVA BRAUN'S OLD COMPANY CAR FOUND ALIVE IN NORFOLK!
In slightly better nick than the driver.
The full Monty Makeover for this old Geisha Girl.
Only 2 in the UK apparently.
Deadline. March 2015. Crikey.
Compared to that trio of lovelies fixing my old slapper will be a walk in the park.
Previous Botox treatment c/o some hack.
So there you go Mr. H.
She's all yours. Take your time. No rush as we discussed.
If you do walk her she'll zoom about a bit but won't wag her tail.
Do take care of my little be'atch and free to put it your window.
Go Pro etc.
I'm sure we'd all like to follow her progress. No pressure.
Quick brush up needed before todays next appointment with a paying punter.
Bit clandestine.
Undercover stuff and everything.
Trojan Horse approach needed.
Cheers, Whatty

Missing Whatty dog had me worried though, but relieved he's safe and well!
A belated Merry Christmas, Whatty

Just after dinner.
This will probably be the last appearance of 'Whatty' for some time. As Old Year Night is nearly upon us it seems appropriate to let this thread slide gracefully into the past.
The eclectic postings I wrote all started back in July as a distraction from a very mundane logistical exercise.
That of moving one long suffering Yankette, an Anglo-Yank toddler, two terriers, 50 boxes, assorted furniture from the New Jersey 'burbs to the heart of the Norfolk countryside.
Oh, and me - a Norfolk boy with an insatiable appetite for quick-ish cars and roads with bends. And shotguns. And woodpigeons.
On January 1st it seemed like Mission Impossible. For the most part, 364 -/+ days later, its mission accomplished.
I was going to do another light hearted but non-technical diary entry about my Tuesday, but I do really question its relevance here.
Unlike these guys, I think its time to call a halt.
Shame really. Today had all the right original ingredients for a proper Bond/Bourne action thriller.
Norfolk Style.
Great script.
Copyright: Whatty.
A not v. Q. Q. Car.
A nattily dressed heroine in stringbacks.
A car chase through the Norfolk Alps.
Which involved a very near miss.
An amphibious Star Car.
Followed by sunset and slow fade out.
And then I thought bks to that. Leave it to the pros.
Back in the old days it was so much easier to make a pound/buck/euro producing these old things.
Cheers, Whatty.

Hi Mr. Manopener -
Here for the Craic? Definitely.
Thanks Mark, I'll be in touch through LkdIn. Waiting on more intel. due early next week.
Professional topic best kept offline.
To those folks who have commented positively on my slightly oddball ramblings on this and my other threads over the last few months - Thank you.
Mr. ecopia - what took you so long?
Obviously not you per se'.
I was anticipating something of that nature months ago. Didn't expect it from a resident of the Emerald Isle.
Well You allude to residing in Ireland but who knows? Big place the internet.
Do get in touch. Here's my card.
Well some of it.
Speaking, live and in person, to a genuine PHer and good egg this afternoon it was suggested that 'Whatty' really belongs in The Lounge. That might be true.
It could be said that it/he/I also belonged in the East Anglia forum, the U.S forum and the VAG, Porsche, classic Mini,Mercedes, Fiat, forums.
Possibly even the business forum.
Surely though that would be a bit too Pythonesque - SPAMALOT?
So the whole reason I chose the Readers Cars forum to pitch my little tent of a thread on was I just like the sheer variety of motors/personalities that reside here. Its unique to PH.
Anyhow its now 07:10 pm New Years Eve.
And I'm 'kin starving.
Cheers, Whatty.

Whatty, consideration to such ill-formed conceptual constructs is unreservedly unbecoming for a chap of your calibre. This PH forum thing is a funny old place; many characters, many egos, and many misplaced thoughts. I am amongst the detritus but you most certainly are not. Please, continue to post your thoughts that will in turn enrich this little corner of the Web.
