Whatty, consideration to such ill-formed conceptual constructs is unreservedly unbecoming for a chap of your calibre. This PH forum thing is a funny old place; many characters, many egos, and many misplaced thoughts. I am amongst the detritus but you most certainly are not. Please, continue to post your thoughts that will in turn enrich this little corner of the Web.
Norfolk - January 1st 2015.Happy New Year Mark and to any other PHer's up and about.
Much appreciate the show of solidarity. You certainly hit many nails on many heads in your last reply.
Detritus? You? I think not.
Some random eye candy while I ponder this thread and its purpose.

I do indeed reside in the rep of ireland not that should have any bearing on my post, do you have an issue with the irish? My remark was due to your ramblings which make absolutely no sense and really have no place in the readers cars section
If you don't like the topic, don't read it simple. Enough other people are entertained by the thread
to leave it where it is.

I think the "smoking crack" might have been a tad rude chap and the response along the lines of "avin a craic" (Somewhat popular as in the emerald isle as I understand)Chill a little bit more chap - lots of things in life we don't understand

Notice how it only takes one person to come along and spread negativity on what is clearly an extremely light hearted and entertaining thread.ecopia said:

Mr. ecopiaSincere apologies if my reference to Irish offended. I most certainly do not have anything against the Irish. On the contrary I have many friends who hail from there, both North and South of the border.
Also a fair few 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation Irish folk on the other side of the Atlantic who are extremely proud about their ancestral roots.
In fact my wife, Ms. Whatty, is herself part Irish. So if there's one thing I know its not to provoke a flame haired Gaelic Gal. Or guy.
If you'd care to re-read my earlier post you'll see that I did indeed question myself the validity of this thread in this here section.
You are obviously entitled to take offence at what you perceived as a slight. That is your right as a public forum user.
Likewise and I'll be brief, no rambling, I do take some small offence at the reference to being on 'crack'. Bushmills would be nearer the mark.
I do think my little pro-am race here is done.
Cheers, Whatty.
PS. B'sterd Child - You were quite right.
Edited for spelling.

Norfolk
Late Evening.
Hi Mr. Shadow R1
Your comments were much appreciated and my New Year resolution is to continue, when time allows, with my automotive rambles.
My second resolution for 2015 is more car pics, less words, keep it relevant to Readers Ccars.
Here goes.....
Wot Whatty did today.
Early O' Clock
Citroen C4 directly below big round thing.
Must work on that picture composition thingy.
160 miles later. Somewhere outside East Anglia.
Saw one of these.
And one of these.
Saw some of these.
And one of these.
Quite like these.
Admired some bloke's rose joints.
Up close.
Stopped for lunch. Time for a beer.
Bugger. Bar closed.
Bumped into a local from Norfolk.
We share the same post code.
Did some paperwork.
Whatty woz here.
Drove 180 miles home.
Avg 37.9 mpg
Some mph.
Citroen C4 under the..... Well you get the idea.
9.15pm ish
Did my PH diary.
Cheers Whatty.
Edited - typo. Kin' hate typos.

Fancy a pint? We've never met but somehow I feel you'd be great company in person. The antithesis of your average Internet persona! Drop me a message here or on LinkedIn.
I'd recommend you do that - I've had the pleasure of a pint and some pub grub with Rob, both our plates ended up being eaten when on the cold side due to more conversation and less eating, I'm hoping we repeat the exercise soon as it was a pleasure to chat to someone who has an eclectic view on life.Oh and Rob - I wasn't.....

Whatty, another impassioned plea for you to continue.
And another, should one be needed - as someone said above, if I see this or one of mwstewart's threads on the Readers' cars page it's required reading, car related content or not.Threads like this are what stops PH from becoming 'just another car site'.
House of Whatty
Norfolk.
Sunday January 18th.

While that was a classic F1, it wasn't actually on the Chapman Junior stand. Autosport's possibly?
For the record my one and only Ford purchase was a 1300 X Flow lump.
Installed in a secondhandDutton Phaeton
wonderfully engineered Caterham inspired component car plastic stbox c. 1988.
And my 2002 V6 Explorer c/o a former employer. Truly a Detroit Dustbin.
Mr. SimesJH: I aim to please (occasionally I miss).
Mr. M. Benson: You're too kind Sir. PH is indeed a bit unique.
Under strict orders to keep this brief. Maybe Twitter is the answer?
Or maybe a blog?
So.....
Friday January 8th 2015.
Back at Autosport avec Le Citroen.
Many photo opps but NO time. People to meet.
Shameless plug for an innovative Norfolk company.

Shame our local paper didn't pick up a on a good news local story about small businesses.
I guess its understandable when this is BIG LOCAL NEWS.

Assume this is part of the climate control system?
Didn't get a chance to ask more questions.

Something light anthracite?
Morning M. B'ChildSomething light anthracite?
£140 seems reasonable.
But, that would mean denying myself the masochistic pleasure of standing in a cold garage using various power tools.
Will ponder and get back to you.
Besides, I'm still shopping for other stuff.
Tuesday January 20th 2015
At 10:00 am Snetterton was chilly.
Compared to a New Jersey January this is tropical.
By 10.45 I was running late. Sadly no time for more seasonal scenic snaps.
By 11:00am Wymondham was a bit warmer.
My fingers were no longer quite as blue as this thing.
The sum of its parts?
This sort of thing really floats my boat.
Recycled carbon fibre and 0-60 in sub-5 seconds?
More amusing than a Prius for sure.
Mid engine, simple to service.
I mean even I could change those brake pads.
Can't understand why no PH'er got their cheque book out at the Sunday Service?
Cheers, Whatty.

1. how much time you have?
2. how you value it?
3. how much you enjoy doing it
No worries either way
