Why would you sell the S6 for the 328??????
I bought it as the family car back when my wife had a little corsa. Since then I got her the 7 seat Discovery and we've swapped roles, meaning I could get something smaller. The S6 was truely great as a daily. However now that it's been relieved of family duties, the auto box and 4wd that make it so effortless to drive quickly in all weathers, also mean it doesn't do "weekend fun" very well.
With it's manual box, straight 6, RWD and unlimited headroom, the 328 is much more of an event to drive even with it's 150bhp deficit.

Thanks, I will (and do!)
I just checked your profile to say likewise, please don't think the Golf thing was personal, makes even more sense why we're not buddies now!
The 'bitterness' paragraph was meant to be a tongue in cheek pop at the things General Gassing generally argues about, I clearly don't have the intelligence for satire!
