Yeah I was thinking about just going for a custom centre section from a decent custom place if I can't get hold of a genuine item for a decent price.
The Spires and Adamesh parts are both around the £500 mark, I seem to remember someone on jaguarforum.co.uk (good site that) found the cost of the genuine part to be around £700. You could probably get one made for a good bit less, mind you.

OP thanks for the heads up

Part of the reason for changing is I have too much time enjoying on my own !

Current car is a Lotus 2-11 (hence a tad impractical)

Narrowed the list down to : XFR, XJR (lack of rear space), E63 AMG or E9X M3, VXR8

Top of the Wife's list was XJR followed by VXR8 - based purely on 2 second opinion of looks

Nice pics, car is looking well. Did you ever do anything about an exhaust? I fairly recently got an Elite RR back box which sounds phenomenal, price was pretty reasonable too. They have options for the 5.0 cars as well.

I did actually! I had a custom centre section made up with a H-Pipe crossover, removing the secondary cats (at least I think that's what they were) and resonators.

I couldn't be happier, car sounds the same as standard when not in Dynamic mode (i.e. with the exhaust flaps closed) but with the car in Dynamic mode and the valves open, it sounds really agressive! No droning at all, but much louder when on the throttle and lots of pops/bangs/crackles (but these sound more natural than the F-Type as they don't happen every time you come off the throttle etc.)

Black really suits it, such a good looking car!

Wanna swap it for a far less good looking, 4 door, less exciting, smaller engined (4.2) R ? wink

Lovely, was it a 4 wheel drive model? As lovely as they are I still think the XKR's are a prettier car, although I suppose I'm biased! Haha.
