The Blue Bogan - Gen-f VXR8 GTS
Discussion
Been a while since I updated this. I still love it, it has taken me to Portugal and back, put up with all the st daily life has thrown at it and it is still running sweet.
I have recently started tweaking the tune on it, and have removed some overfuelling that was causing quite a large build up of soot on the exhaust, it no longer goes black in seconds. Still got a lot to learn wrt tuning, but slowly getting there.
Plans for this year are new cold air intake, retune, and then maybe start looking at overdriving the supercharger. I hope to have it over 500 RWHP in the next month or so, currently at 478 as tested at SRR last month. Also looking to get it professionally detailed at some point

Final tune now in. 838BHP/695FtLb at the flywheel. At the wheels seeing 673BHP/590FtLb. Will post pictures up later when I retrieve my laptop from SRR
Could push it a bit further tbh, but on stock fuel pump and spark plugs still, so will look at sorting out some colder plugs and fit the boost a pump but AFR's are still spot on. Also only running BP Ultimate as that is my normal fuel.

I love it.
I was at the big VBOA show at the weekend, I think you could probably "own" that place in terms of power compared to even most of the Autobahnstormers gang who have moved on from Lotus Carltons to VXR8s and Monaros etc.
You have got around 22x the power of my little Rascal van... I just have more practical load capacity

I was on the stand next to the autobahn stormers (mk3oc) and when I spotted the maloo (VXR8 pick up) I got arroused. Only reason i'd move to Oz is for one of these bad boysI was at the big VBOA show at the weekend, I think you could probably "own" that place in terms of power compared to even most of the Autobahnstormers gang who have moved on from Lotus Carltons to VXR8s and Monaros etc.

Ah yeah, you have Ed on your stand with the unusual Astra he uses for tree surgery? He crops up on my forum every so often as well. Unusual choice of vehicle for his line of work!
Correct Ed is a great guy and I think its great what he does with his unusual car. No one in there right mind would use a astra but hey gets our club attention lolproves a eye catcher to plus shows the cars capabilities from 1 with 600bhp on the stand to Ed's with 82bhp jacked up with snorkle lol
