Got another little job done at the weekend .

First was to change the old tired gear knob .

Old knob

I got a re trimmed gear know of a member from Hide 'N' Seat .

Old and the new

Also I re aligned the shifter throw and re greased the cup and ball on the gear linkage .

Then fitted a new alcantara gear surround and handbrake surround .

Old vs new .

All done and put back together . I went for the orange stitch to match the seat stitching .

And bleed all of the air out ( there was a lot )

Those brakes are sexual. I always wanted a 350z Roadster for a long time. Thought it would replace my Clio 182 eventually, but things happened and I ended with a Z4M Roadster. Your Z looks fantastic. thumbup

Another update as I got round to fitting my Meister-R Zeta-R coilovers .

Front old vs new

Installed Front

Front adjuster

Rear old vs new

Installed Rear

Rear adjuster that needed some drilling of the rear brace .

Have only driven it a few miles but the handling is night and day on full soft to the set up that was on it .

Ride is 3-5 % more stiff on full soft vs the old set up so nice and compliant on full soft .

Great progress, love how you keep improving it... even the things you have already upgraded hehe

And I can confirm the MPSS is a great tyre on the 350z, although I did come from some RE050's rather than the Kumho's

Ok where to start .

Dry grip is on another level and you can push on so much harder as the grip is so much more you can realy lean on the tyre .

Wet grip is amazing feels like what the Kumho could do in the dry .

feel and feedback is again improved through the wheel .

Those rear toe arms are to replace your now redundant spring bucket/toe control arm I presume? Have you got lock-out washers for them and the camber arms? Using the existing eccentric washers could lead to your finely aligned suspension slowly falling out of alignment owing to the inherent crapness of eccentric washers.

Did you buy those pieces from Horsham? I've been eyeing up some nice Cusco ones from them. I'd like to know what the quality of the hardrace ones is like as I can't find rear Cusco camber arms anywhere, only rear toe and front camber.

I had hardrace stuff on my R34 and it was ok however i always have concerns about the use of rose joints on road cars , luckily i dont do enough miles for it to be an issue

Yes I have the lock out kit going on as well that have arrived from the USA last Thursday .

I got the hard race bits direct as it was a bit cheaper than H/D .
