Got a engine torque damper delivered form the USA on Friday
Fitting was ok but space was tight .
All in with earth bracket connected .
There is slightly more noise / vibration in the cabin but nothing that you can feel to much .
Throttle response feels a little more quicker more so in the lower gears .

At the weekend I got round to upgrading the suspension at last .
Parts arrived from the USA . Tein springs and Tokico shocks
Old shock and spring out ( this set up has done 91K miles so a bit tired )
New Blue Tokico shock
Old vs new shock
Old vs new spring
Old vs new shock return vid

All set up new shock and spring
Installed
Old rear shock
Old vs new
New ready to go on
Rear shock & spring installed
Have only done a few miles but its only a little firmer than stock and should be better in the corners .

Update time
Was booked in to Abbey Motorsport for some work to be done .
First was a new Exedy clutch and LUK DMF that was fitted and new gear box oil added .
Some pic of the old units that have done 92K miles .
Old DMF
Old Clutch still in ok shape but some of the rivets were getting close .
Then as the gearbox was off I had some DC sports S/S manifolds ( headers if you are from the USA ) installed .
Old log type manifold with smallish ports and uneven length tubes .
New DC Sport S/S equal length manifold
Installed .
And last to be re mapped on the dyno .
I was told that the manifolds would only give a very small gain in power and torque so the gains are about what I was expecting with the bonus of more power and torque on the whole rev range ( + 11 LB/FT at 2300 RPM ) and not moving the power and torque up all at the top of the rev range .

Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely car. Really like these. Maybe it's the boy racer in me, but i'd love to see a set of LMs or grids on it tho.
Yeah a lot of people go for bigger but I like to keep my cars std . Well on the outside at least Alan
The fashion for big rims/skinny tyres may look good to some, but invariably change/ruin the handling.
This will be quite a car when you come to sell it.
In the meantime, enjoy it.
