Well you were both right, it passed! Only just mind, brakes are close to the limit so new discs and pads all round. I have no use for the car so I'm planning on getting the brakes done and hopefully removing the front bumper before I stick it up for sale. Wonder what it's worth with a fresh ticket.

How you getting on with the MX5 mate?

I'm currently trying to find a nice cheap sheddy one after writing off my celica but they all seem to be down south

What happened to the Celica? The MX5 is still going strong, sold it today to a colleague as I didn't have the time to tidy it up and drive it. Kept the alloys as they are worth half the value of the car! Will get those sold on eBay at some point. The cash I got from the sale of the car was spent on the labour costs for repairs to my less sheddy Galant VR4.

Sounds like it turned out pretty well then! I'm searching AT and ebay for cheap MX5's and MR2's ready for summer

Now people do mock the fact I bought an Alfa as a backup for a TVR as you can imagine,
I had a 156 as a 'backup' for my Chimaera. The TVR was way more reliable.

Really sheddy Mk1 MX5s can still be fun. A mate spent £600 on one with plastic-fantastic tyres that changed colour as you went faster as more paint layers were stripped off. It was still a hoot to drive, as it oversteered at about 15mph.
