Thought I would post a few pic's of my 928.

I bought a Peugeot 205GTi last year (http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=47&t=1432363&mid=39148&i=0&nmt=My+205Gti+1%2E9&mid=39148) which was good fun but I didn't use the car much so when the opportunity arose it went and in came the 928.

Its a 1988 928 S4 Auto with just over £110K miles and loads of history. Not had a chance to drive it much so looking forward to some better weather.

It's looking very smart Pete, very smart indeed.

I can't wait to hear it out and about.

Hard to believe that the basic shape is heading towards its 40th birthday

This was my poster car as a boy, the performance seemed other-worldly in the late 70s/early 80s.
Always fancied one but never seem to have taken enough brave pills. Is the potential for bork as big as the internet rumours would have you believe?

Thanks for the positive comments. Just been in the garage tinkering away before a mate called over - got the thumbs up from him too!

As requested interior pic.

A bit dark as taken in the garage. For the age and mileage it's aged well enough - the leather will need some attention at some point but there's a few more important jobs to do first.

I had a manual S4 years ago and still miss it frown that looks like s nice one, but get the flex plate tension checked on it if it hasn't been done, other than that enjoy smile

I was about to say if you are a Happy Mondays Memeber!

The 928 is a car I am really beginning to like! Enjoy the ride for sure! I will not mention terms like X-Pipe and RMB delete...

Love everything about it, slush box will be perfect in that, a real GT tourer. Just looks so good, wheels, colour, interior. Enjoy it!

Took me a little while to get the happy mondays thing...BEZ!

The plate came with car.

Its got the exhaust mods, sounds just right to me, and the flex plate has been checked too.

Here's a better interior photo...

Great cars. The road tests of the day could never decide if it was a grand tourer or a sports car.

The interior of these looks great - very '1980s-futuristic'. The slabs of wood look incongruous in those surroundings though. I wonder if they were added as a sop to the brits and our ongoing addiction to wood'n'cow?

Now if you could get hold of some pascha fabric and re-upholster the seatslaugh

Beautiful car buddy, always had a thing for the 911 but this shape is definitely growing on me... Crazy to think that this badboy is almost 40 years old
