Right so it looks like I will be selling this soon. I am looking to go back into M5 ownership to try and enjoy driving still despite my hearing condition, and a better insulated cabin should hopefully do that.

A shame it didn't work out.

Lets be honest it's no M5 but then it's not really trying to be and is a fraction of the price (both in purchase and running costs).

This is 100% accepted and true. The MPS isnt fast enough for me either, and to make it faster is going to cost too much, and then there is the potential of things breaking, and that I will never see any of that money again. At least with the M5 it's going to continue to increase in value.

It is a shame as I do like the MPS, just do not like it enough..

Well the MPS might increase in value. It's certainly rare enough. smile

That's what I keep telling myself anyway. wink

Not quite got the same devoted following as BMW though so might have to wait quite a while.

Rarer than M5's, though I havent seen an M5 since March and that was in Amsterdam! I've seen some very cheap MPS' so you may be waiting a while longer haha.

There were less than 2000 E39's sold in the UK, so that must include E28's and E34's maybe?

Yeah the MPS gets broken for spares when it breaks as a lot of people do not fancy the repair bill, me included!

I'm trying to work out if I should;

Spend £4k making the mps into a quick car

Or

Sell and spend £8k plus on another E39 M5. It is a tough decision!

Well, it looks like my time with the MPS is coming to and end. I have someone coming to look at it on Thursday!

Then its just a decision what to get next if I don't fancy another M5...
