^Honestly don't think I could have picked a better first car for the money it is!

I'm beginning to learn that if you're doing anything on a car it involves some issue and or injury to hands. Today was no different.
So I'd ordered new plates and thought fitting them would take about 2 minutes, which I may well have done if it wasn't for:

A screw which was no longer a screw. Ended up spinning the number plate around and then the screw snapped out! Must have lost the cap along the way somewhere as I realise there was one when I originally bought it!
Then this mess:

Old adhesive was quite happy where it was, despite tar remover and nothing to actually scrape it off with I eventually got through it by destroying my nails....

But I got there, now I just need to do the same with the rear plate...another time!

I've also got these lying around:

I decided on the carbon fibre ones after much indecision. However the last time I tried to remove the bumper there was another screw which didn't want to come out/over tightened (which seems a common theme for most of them on my car, annoyingly) and I gave up, so I look forward to tackling that at some point.

Hi mate.

Sorry to jump on your thread but how are things going with the Clio 182?

I have the opportunity to purchase one but wanted to ask an owner how they are getting on with theirs.

Would you purchase another one?

Thank you smile

I've owned it for about a year and a half now and the only thing that I've actually had to do (Other than regular service stuff) is the 72k belt change that is a bit costly and a new rear brake light and they're generally fairly reliable cars.
It's fun to drive and great as standard, definitely doesn't need a lot done to it, if anything really if it's just going to be used on the road
The only reason I wouldn't purchase another one would be because I'd probably use the money to buy something newer, but that's the only reason. I think it's one of the most fun you can have in a car for the money it is.

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. Very much appreciated.

Been following your journey. Car is looking great smile

BTW do you know if Titan Grey metallic is a Clio 182 colour?

The advert is stating this but been told it never came in this colour.

Picture of actual car but in sunlight frown

Not sure if it is the same colour as yours or not.

I'd say it's more likely that that's an advert error than the actual colour being different. It should be 'titanium silver'
