Browsing eBay as you do during your lunch break and I found a Range Rover td6 l322 for just £3900. 22 hours left on the auction with no bids. Got hold of the man and got told I can take it for £3900 if I come next day.

Grabbed mum and drove to the south of Wales that night, left at 8pm and arrived at half 5. Slept in my car for 2 hours outside the mans house. Had a quick look round the car, seemed ok, so got mum to drive it home. Averaged 33.2 mpg from South Wales to Inverness.

It's a 2002 td6 Range Rover vogue, auto box done 40k ago, turbo done, full suspension replaced, remapped, refurbed injectors.
Has been in a smash prior and is cat c or d, not sure which. Has lots and lots of small problems.
Drivers door window switches don't work,
passenger door doesn't lock on the fob,
water in rear light,
sand in the fog lights,
paintwork poor on front bumper,
sunglasses holder falls down,
plastic round seat is broken,
high level brake light has loads of leds out,
Seats worn,
Brake caliper sticking on slightly.

No pictures of my own at the moment so here is the sellers,

Edit: also came with a spare engine

That's phenomenal fuel economy, and a great purchase price, sounds a steal.

Bargin-barge-tastic! TBH, on an early L322, any crash is probably going to fix as many issues as it causes boxedin

It would without the grille, mirror caps, fog surrounds and RRS wheels smile

Can't complain for the money though!

I'm amazed you got your mum to agree to drive through the night, then sleep in the car on a punt that you've found a bargain.

Most of those niggles could be sorted in a day or two.

Great buy ! Been running one of these for last 4 years. Brake calipers are same as late 90's BMW 5 series about £80 from Andrew pages or similar and they gave me a tenner back for the old caliper.

Will watch out for updates - all the best and congratulations of a very smart purchase 😄😄

Looks a bit tired but nothing that a few hours work wont sort and for £3900 you can't complain. Funny this topic should just come up as I was just debating whether or not I should sell my two 7 series and look for an L322.

Looks an absolute steal even for a CAT C

and it looks in respectable condition, usually the cheap L322 have been given the Essex boy makeover like the grit paintwork one Wheeler Dealers bought for £5k.

..remapped,
If you're going off the trip computer, remaps can cause false readings.

Although the extra weight can't have helped!

Shared between us at the moment until she finds one for herself. Hence why she was willing to come down for it.

Wasn't sure if she wanted one herself till she drove one around, now she wants one but in better interior condition.

Looking at getting some off road tyres and wheels.

Do 18" p38 wheels fit? Gives much more choice for tyres and more sidewall.

Short answer is no.

They are the correct PCD but the center bore is smaller on the P38/Discovery 2 wheels.

Discovery 3 18" wheels would fit, not as common though.
