Interesting looking back at your first post:

"I've come from a long line of vauxhall, mainly vectra's, from C20let conversions, v6 conversion and lastly VXR's which are a very under estimated car. I had a vector vxr track car but was costing me too much and the direction it was going it was becoming a full on touring car so ended up braking it"

Lol, looks like you can't help yourself! Thats good for us though as this has to be one of my favourite projects on here bow

Cant wait to see it finished and on track
we have a joke at work as when got the car i said i won't be touching it....... I was hoping it would be a quick-ish NA car with not much potential for turning into a money pit but hasn't worked out like that

The thread title isn't really a clue to the project anymore but not sure how to change it so it's a bit hidden lol, thanks

I pass bexleyheath nearly everyday. I'm starting to learn where every bump is on the a2 between london and rochester :-D

I've never timed myself around there for some reason, might do in the future

No updates as the car has been away getting the DTA and Race technology dash wired up, should be back at the weekend.

Some pics from before it went away

Clutch from CG Motorsport, all fitted

Had an accident, let the jack down with an axle stand underneath

Had a -6 jic fitting welded to the fuel rail and made up a fuel line for my braided hose to go onto, tight fit!!!

got the car in a position to be taken away for wiring

car was too wide for the trailer so had to fit a space saver back to front and just squeezed on with mm to spare!!

Also got rid of the Eos and picked up a Passat CC for my daily

After just over a month i got the car back last saturday. Went back over to track and road and got trailered back

Wiring all completed

ECU mounted

Have a problem with my race technology dash. Seems to have a firmware issue. Been sent away so hopefully will get it back next week

Picked up a 1M exhaust from birmingham last sunday and trial fitted it. I had to cut off the end's that attach to the downpipes and use the E46 Flanges. All lines up ok so will fit it proper over the next week or so

Where do i start with this thing!!!

I got to the point where i was a days work from starting it and then remembered from when i took it out the M3 that it had a misfire so decided to check everything before start up.

Its then i realised why it had misfire

Decided to stick a camera down the bores and although the crowns didn't look too bad they weren't great either so i done a compression test. Cylinders 2+3 come back low

At that point i decided to strip the engine down before deciding what way to go with it

I've decided i will probably fit JE piston's, standard rods, race bearings, and all ARP bolts. Just getting the funds together for the build at the moment though.

Managed to get hold of a 1M bumper for cheap so i can run 265 section up front eventually.

Made a start on the rear's. already running 10j ET23 on the rear but now have spacers

Got hold of an 60l ATL fuel cell. I was going to mount it up where the boot was but decided against having the weight high up so chopped the rear bench away and got started on mounting it lower to help with handling.

In-between all that i took the daily out to the ring for a few laps while i was out in Belguim biggrin

Updates as and when, not looking to get it up and running until feb next year now though

Wide arches wasn't the plan but coming across the 1M bumper has forced my hand tongue out

It has yes. I knew it was misfiring but it had electrical issues so put it down to that. I'm glad i never investigated the issue back when i had the M3 as i doubt i would of done the conversion so i'm not complaining biggrin
