Properly mental thumbup

Has to be 2wd at that figure I believe? IIRC the 4x4 explodes at about 500bhp.

Yes rwd it has a Jaguar diff & Tremec TKO box so bullet proof. Fastest Cossie in the World since 16/09/2004. We are rebuilding this year to try to go faster & crack 212mph to celebrate my 70th Birthday.

Very nice
Nicer still back on the original wheels and they drive better on the standard sized wheels.

Need 19" wheels to get gearing for 210+mph. Usually run 17" for the road. I will leave all this standard stuff to the spit & polish boys wink.

How many 200+mph runs have you done at Brunters. Ive done 3 of the Top 10 runs in the car since 2002. Nearest I got to Mark was .5mph proud of that. Mark gave up driving my car in February 2006.
Yes I will drive it on the next run maybe will hold the record for 30mins or so but its about maxing out a RS Cosworth not proving that a 70 year old is not as capable as someone many years his junior. Nick Anwyl will drive the car faster than me so use his name next time please not Marks. Comments like yours are a hazard of having a record breaking car from peeps that never have the whole facts. cool

Hand bags biggrin. Sorry, I just don't get the pay someone to build it and then drive mentality.

And I've never been to Bruntingthorpe, but then I have nothing to try and prove to the internet.

Not proving it to the Internet IMO he (his car)which ever way you want to look at it already owns the record for bein the fastest, records are made to be broken.

But I must ask how come Marks give up driving it??

Been a good winter playing about with this old thing waiting to get it out again. It was apparent after running it for a few months that the power levels it was advertised at when I bought it were optimistic to say the least hehe

The T3/34 hybrid half breed turbo that was on it when I bought it blew itself to pieces late last year on a wee test drive after we fitted a big intercooler back onto the car,it had been smokey for a while so a replacement was on the cards anyway. At that point the year was over so a few parts were bought for a bit more power this year.

A new T34 turbo, proper Airtec RS500 style intercooler and a custom chip from MSD have all been fitted over the last couple of months. It was booked in for a set up and power run on our local dyno up here on Saturday where it ran 336BHP at 18psi,very impressed with the figures at that boost levels.Don't want to push it much more at the moment as it's still on green injectors but a set of siemens are on the new shopping list biggrin

A new set of wheels were needed too,the MO6 Compomotives are a nice wheel but just something not right to me so swapped them for a set of MO5 Comps.

It passed it's MOT this month too with no advisories so very proud of the old tub at that, just a few wee bodywork issues to tend to this year and it should be about where I want it to be.

Not really got any decent photos of it as it's been snowing up here so just one from the rollers before it was tucked away again.

You could order them without a spoiler towards the end of the run IIRC, it looks much better without them I always thought
