Living in Manchester had the exact same thing many moons ago which stripped the paint to bare metal.

If you plan on repairing on the cheap ie not through insurance , make sure the metals protected ie a primer so it doesn't start to let the elements in.

I had it on a newish Fiat and it lived in white primer for a while just till i had the finds for a bumper and bonnet re spray.

More than likely it will be Nitromors or paint stripper/ brake fluid compound - so make sure its all thoroughly washed off everywhere and if its ran into the engine bay at all, that too.

Hope this helps.

Nope, mines a standard 1.0 125bhp. I was offered a red/black edition, but much preferred the standard one. Would've liked to have the extra poke, but could mountune it if needed and not have warranty issues.
You can get the 140 ps engine without having to have a Red or Black edition now. The Candy Blue looks really great, but at £725 it's very dear?
