MonkeyWrenchRacing do them new. There's also a shop on ebay that has them new, but they're about £50+.

I managed to nab a second hand one for £30, they do pop up now and again!

I bought mine from a lotus dealer to fit to my MR2.

Think it cost about £18 + VAT

Love the car and love what you have done with it. OEM+ is the way forward! Sounds great with that induction kit too, I bet you're never off the revs!

How did the spacers affect your handling?

In all fairness, it does sound fantastic when the revs are up smile

Spacers didn't effect the handling negatively in any way. I can't really say if it was a positive as I couldn't feel much of a difference, nor have I had the chance to track it before and after. They're just there for cosmetics!

So this thread has prompted two people to go and buy Celicas - both Thunder Grey T Sports

Picked mine up this morning - the step point is fun to cross

Where from may I ask? Looking to pair them with some apex lowering springs

I'm ordering 17 and 27mm hubcentric spacers from Freakyparts via the Celica Club, come very highly recommended and fill the arches to perfection on T Sport wheels and a 30-35 mm drop

35mm drop with 17mm front and 22/27mm rear spacers is the perfect way to go for these cars. I'm glad you guys liked this one enough to buy one yourselves smile

My Step-Sister has one of these, but in yellow! I was vaguely aware that there was a 140 and 190BHP model. I assumed Her's was the former, I was pleasantly surprised when I hit 6200RPM!

Her's isn't a great example though, it's very tappety and the EML is on and no-one an seem to trace the fault, the interior isn't wearing too well either.

But I'm a big fan of the car, so much so I'm considering a Corolla T-Sport as my next car.

Ah yeah it's most likely a T-Sport if it's yellow.

So I've bought a spare set of headlights for the bargain of £10. Plan is to split them, wet sand the outsides and the insides to make the lenses like new, give them a thorough cleaning inside, and also spray the inserts black.

The U.S. versions of the Celica had coloured inserts as an option on one of their models (the Tsunami Celica if I remember correctly). I'd never go as far as colour coding the inserts, but I'll see what they're like black, as a lot of newer cars have black inserts. It may modernise it quite substantially!

If it doesn't, the it's only a tenner smile photos to follow

Picked mine up today, drives like a 60k mile car and the bodywork is actually acceptable. Oil is new and topped up and it has nearly new toyo t1r proxes all round and a fresh p zero on the spare.

I'm so so happy with it, even the air con is ice cold.

Fantastic! Really pleased to hear smile

So I made a start on the spare headlights I bought for a tenner. Jeeeeesus christ they're a state.

Look at this for how clouded, faded and scratched they are:

There's even bugs inside

And when I started to sand, the water turned yellow instantly. Eww.

I've sanded them, but they're still clouded and scratched so they're well out of my hands as far as self-restoring them goes. I'll either get a polishing head for a drill, or pop them off to a body shop for them to do. As the plastics are separate and as they're spare headlights, I can literally drop them off and forget about them until they're done. They only need a good machine polish and they'll be fine!

I've 2000 wet and sand, then 2500, then meguiars ultimate compound several times but it's not getting them out. I'll have to go higher, possibly 3000 grit just to smooth things off

Blimey, I'll keep that in mind for when I do mine, they're not as far gone as those however!

While in lift going from 1st to 2nd is rather stiff, is the synchro gone or will some fresh gearbox oil help that out?

I used the megs Headlight Restoration Kit yesterday, my drivers side headlight had gone very yellow, 1/2 hour later looks virtually brand new

What is essential is using a corded drill, cordless ones just don't have the power to break the polish down properly
