May I ask what you used to to remove the tar spots?? I have loads on my car and they are a nightmare to get off!
Best stuff I have ever used is Just the Tonic from www.autobritedirect.co.uk

I may give that a go because autoglym gets some bits off but not all
Its definitely better than the AG stuff, just spray it on, might need a tiny bit of agitation with a brush on the stubborn spots but its great stuff, - also very good at removing glue, made light work of the tyre weight glue patches left on the inner rims of my wheels

Really didn't like the interior centre console plastics so decided to do something about it. I always like to retain the option of returning back to OE so £30 sourced me a complete set of used parts that I need and off they went to be flocked in dark caviar (dark grey)

Managed to fit it all at the weekend and gives the interior a nice freshen up - has the instrument cluster surround, door grab handles, clock / stereo surround, gearlever surround, window switch surround and armrest lid done

Bit of an update

Decided to tackle the few stone chips on the bonnet, used the tried and tested method of filling in and then wet sanding back.

Whole car was fully machine polished, followed by sealant and topped off with wax for that bit of extra sparkle and protection

All four wheels now fully refurbished at home and pleased with the results - back to enjoying driving the thing, many people fail to accept its now done 120k miles

Due to a change of jobs and acquiring a company car I'm sad to say that the Celica is now up for sale. Would like to keep it but as I have the Jag, OH has a newish car and I'm getting the company car theres really no point in keeping it

Been a great car, got under my skin far more than I thought it would and hope she goes to a good home

Shame that it's gone, was a lovely example and that refurb of the alloy was excellent.

Whats your next car going to be then?
Picking up a Saab 9-3 Aero convertible on Saturday morning - as I only need a car for 3-4 monhs it seemed like good timing to buy now and sell in Summer and at least get my money back
