Popped down to Phil Taylor Towbars in Horndean this morning to get a Witter detachable and dash to boot wiring loom fitted. Including cutting the bumper, fitting the hatch, running the loom, fitting the bar and coding the car it took a mind boggling 50 mins!

I then took it to visit it's stable mate.

400 miles completed this weekend already as I took it up to Rockingham Motro Speedway as a spannerman for a mate running in the Max5 Racing Championship. He got 1st in class in both races.

Looks like a particularly depressing dogging venue.

Great little car..

Mrs SWH regularly saw over 60mpg in it (yes the 1.6D Greenline), unfortunately she also wrote it off(!)

We now have two more seats in a Touran... which is functional, and doesn't rank highly on the excitement scale at all; would happily have another Yeti, pre-facelift, probably the 2.0 diesel with the DSG box in fact.

It's actually quite a nice pub, there's often PH meets there in the summer. I just captured it really badly with my photos. frown

Fitted a rear bumper protector and gave it a clean tonight. First proper work trip in it tomorrow being a 400 mile round trip to Sheffield for a meeting.

I liked the DSG one I borrowed and I would consider one if I buy another. Mrs SWHs looks nice in white. The two things that I dislike about mine being black are keeping it clean and that the colour hides some of the detail of the design like the black front and rear pillars.

White certainly works for a Yeti, it's on winters in that photo, hence the steel wheels too.

Black cars are never truly clean(!) ....the Touran is black, as is my MGB but that's in more of a barn lost state currently!

Uncle has the facelift model with the DSG box and it seems very competent... electronic handbrake less so however.

I do like the Yeti , I wanted to replace our Superb with one but the wife didnt like it and she would have driven it most of the time

I wouldnt put too much faith in the mpg display though, they are often fairly inaccurate although you can trim them a little with VCDS

I got my Yeti last week on one of the really good personal lease deals knocking around. And I love it!

The missus doesn't though....she hates it's looks. I don't mind at all. Suits be down to a tee. Easily swallows my mountain bikes in the back.

What really suprises me is how it handles....for its size and shape its fantastic.

The Yeti is definatly an dark horse here on PH smile

Whats the boot like in these any chance of a pic? Would it suit a family 2year old and a 9 month old set up?

Found a useful resource of local greenlanes while scoffing my dinner and decided as one was within 2 miles of where I live it would be rude not to have a nosey and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Until I saw this thread recently, and despite having a (not so) secret liking for the Yeti, I now see them often locally. They're VERY popular!

In the last 4 days I've seen 12 and Luxembourg's NOT a big place! laugh

Hmmm.... a red one for my wife, perhaps? wink
