Had this girl about 5 years ago now, thoroughly attached to it...1.6 Phoenix special edition. Slow but entertaining.

Just got it back from the bodyshop so thought i'd stick some pics up, its had a blowover and looks ten years younger...pretty chuffed.

Engine wise things are pretty standard, as much as i'd like to supercharge it one day. As for the rest of it, lowered and fast road geo'd, smoothed all round, ducktail, racing beat exhaust, and custom brown mohair roof to match the interior. I've been fairly careful over the years when it comes to mods, tried to keep it fairly understated and a few steps away from the current slam/stance trends in mx5land.

Future plans mostly consist of driving it, keeping it, and fixing st that goes wrong.

This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing MX-5 I've seen, great job on it, it just looks about right!

thanks for the kind comments chaps...If you ever need any paint or bodywork doing I highly recommend Deepcar Autobodies just outside Sheffield.

I've suddenly become very paranoid about where I park it!

Needs a major service later in the year which is going to dent the pocket a bit, but I seem to get out what I put in as far as ownership goes.

Sits smart that! I really am considering a ducktail on my mk2, don't know if it will look right as my stance isn't as wide as yours.

I'd say go for it, my car doesn't sit particularly wide (15x7 ET20 wheels) and it still works well visually.

I commented on this a week or so ago, now I've gone and bought my own, so thanks for that!

Do the ET20 wheels rub at all? Very tempted by similar. Ducktail is also excellent.
