Don't think this is an option yet, if at all. The A45 is still a young platform and any new mod released really is new territory. It's a very interesting read and he will undoubtedly push the boundaries of the car. His last Impreza was over 600bhp and won many events.

Hi mate. Yeah, I know of him from his project thread on the A45 forum. He started well but I think he has maybe overstayed his welcome with some suppliers. Lots of requests for free testing in return for feedback has left a few sour grapes. Yeah, that would have been me. I was heading home from Shakespeare County Raceway. Been up at the RWYB event to prove the car on an official 1/4 mile strip. Luckily the car did me proud and on the 3rd run (1st run was 12.0 and 2nd run 12.5 due to oil on track) the car produced the 11.8 i was looking for. The track was pretty busy yesterday and it took 3 1/2 hours to get 3 runs in due the Kawasaki Triples constantly dropping fluids on the track between car runs. Very few got the runs they wanted yesterday.
Possibly the fasted officially timed A45 on stock turbo in the world. All with road tyres, regular fuel and full weight.
Excuse the borrowed clothing (forgot you had to have arms and legs covered so I borrowed from some bystanders lol), and the language, and the excitement. Ha!

It's been a few weeks since an update, mainly because I've been struggling through the chemo but also because not much more is available above what I've already had done. Development is ongoing though and I suspect the next mod will be in the form of stage 3 and a hybrid turbo.
On the power front we have managed to get Kermit on a reputable rolling road. Very few A45s have been dyno'd and sadly many tuners have only speculated or guessed at peak figures. Judgement day came and the little green beast ran 410bhp and 470lbft. In all honesty we were a little disappointed by the bhp figures but we were more than happy with the torque. 430/435 is the most anybody has had from the standard Turbo and that was with a custom tune so in reality we aren't far off.
With that I have upgraded the intake from the Rebellion unit to a new Alpha Motorsport unit that was dyno'd and produced 10bhp and 5lbft more than the Rebellion. That's more like it.

How much longer have you got on the Chemo fella?
Hopefully 4 weeks, maybe 6. Depends on results of CT scan at end of September. I'm supposed to have 8 rounds of chemo this time and the 8th one falls the same day as scan (they won't do it same day as results are needed to make next treatment choices). If the scan is good and little blighter is gone (possible) then I may have 8th chemo after scan to consolidate the full dose. That's obviously a chore in itself but at least it'll be the last hurdle. If there is no change from scans before ( likely, as shown no change over previous 2 scans inc PET scan that shown no activity in lump) then they will give me 2 options: The most likely offered option is to have the 8th round of chemo and wait 3 months for another scan to see if any change. Or, if i push him for it, scrap 8th round and get 2 weeks ahead of the recovery game in order to crack on with surgery to find out what the little lump was. I'd rather not have the little lump there for another 3 months as you never know what it'll do. Hopefully it is nothing to worry about at all but it'll play on my mind every day if it's there. My surgeon isn't overly keen to go hunting for a 9mm lump that he may or may not be able to find (if it's nothing more than swollen tissue or scarring then it won't be obvious enough to remove via camera. Cancer causes tatooing of tissue so it's easily seen with Lap camera. The risk that he will have to do full open surgery and potentially damage me for life is enough for him to have reservations about the job, that and the use of anaesthetic etc poses risks in itself. He is a pioneer in his field so I know he's being honest about it, and i know he can achieve more than most if push comes to shove. That being said he's seen from previous surgery and my normal life that I'm more resilient than his usual patients so he can offer me different things. I've also said i'd risk side effects if it meant the job was done properly and i wasn't going to need chemo again. Won't know until Sept 25th after scan though!How much longer have you got on the Chemo fella?
Whatever happens I'm looking forward to the chemo being finished as this stuff really does suck compared to the previous 10 rounds. They can either find out what it is they are trying to kill and be done with it or stop trying to kill me with the drugs. My oncologists said something to me the other day that maybe should have been said at the start of this journey. And this is after I've already been admitted to hospital at round 3 for extreme bowel issues caused by the drugs: "I've seen people die on these drugs so maybe we should be paying more attention to your symptoms rather than have you stagger into hospital with life threatening amounts of diarrhoea". Nice to be told! Good to know I'm having this chemo for a definite reason. Ha! Life is cruel!

As I was feeing good I decided to head up to Santa Pod and meet some other A45 owners for a blast up the strip. We got there nice and early and with a first run time of 9.30am we set out to see who could do what. The interesting part of this meet was that each car had been tuned by a different provider. We had 4 cars turn up, one from Rebellion, one from DMS, one from MSL and th last from Renntech. Each tune is different, but the results could not have been more close.
It was a 'peak performance / rwyb' day so the track was prepped for the use of the big guns. In actual fact it was not ideal for us and we found the track very sticky, bringing terminals down from the usual 116/117mph to 113/114mph. We tried adjusting tyre pressures but at other than stock setup we were only getting slower. The heat and humidity did not help things either and as the day progressed the delays and queues got longer! So what did we do?
Well, when we arrived it was empty so we quickly banged in 3 11.9's each with the best being:
Rebellion (me): 11.90
DMS: 11.91
Renntech and MSL: 11.92.
And all within 1mph terminal speed! Ha!
