May 25th 2015.
House of Whatty
Norfolk

Bank Holiday Monday.

New shed. Finally.
Hooray.

'Dun Roamin' sign now on order.

Time to reflect.

New house, 2 year old toddler to chase, new company / occupation to establish.
Garden to clear, sheds to empty, dog fence to erect, .......the list is infinite.

I do not really need this in my life at present.
I swear to God and Ms. Whatty that these oddball cars find me not vice versa.

1989 Robin Hood Seven with nose job by Caterham.

Zetec 2 litre on Jenvey Throttle Wotsits.
Silly sounding side 'zorst.

It would be nice if I could find time to drive it this year.

Cheers, Whatty.

The saga continues.

Hello Mr.Anomaly

Thanks. Its been a bit of marathon and I never envisaged the task taking quite so long but there we go.

Aaaah Bonjour M. CoopedUp

The B'strd may well be either riding high or just lacking in the rimmage department.
I recall mention of conversion to adjustable coilovers and double wishbones on the front. A poke around the back might reveal something similarly adjustable.

I've yet to find time to go through the nice little stack of bills that accompany it to determine more about the 'NOISY CAR' as Whatty Jr has NOISILY dubbed it.

Will view said Guernsey snaps when time and broadband allow.
Now off to meet my coal merchant.

Rural living? Love it.

Cheers, Whatty. beer

That looks like it will be a lot of fun blasting round Norfork. A gentleman’s conveyance that will make good progress and pre announce its arrival. Not only that, you have also solved a dilemma faced by so many of us men, what to buy are loved one at present time, heat proof apparel for Mrs. Whatty this year then.

'A gentleman's conveyance' - I shall quote that to Ms Whatty the next time I'm accused of acquiring 'another #$@%ing stupid car'.

This one of course comes with a complete lack of toddler facilities so she's probably right.
Given Whatty Jr's current split personality, thanks to a bad case of the Terrible Twos, I'm looking at the lack of a rear seat as a real added value feature.

The odds of Ms. Whatty asking for a spin are long.

In the same way that two weeks ago while rooting through my tool box I happened upon a sparkplug wrench/spanner that could only have come from my old 964.

Picture above not too scale.

In sudden rush of generosity I posted it on the R*nnl*st Porsche 964 forum as 'free to a good UK home'.
Within half an hour one Mr. Harry Apps responded and I was rather pleased to note that he's a fellow Norfolkian.

A quick rendezvous and handover arranged last week.

While the Norfolk factor is merely coincidence what follows can only suggest something a bit odd in the digital car world.

Mr. Apps resides 75 yards to the left of my desk this afternoon.

I now live 75 yards to the right.

Cheers, Whatty.

PS. 1 billion Chinese will lose no sleep over the above factoid.

'Blasting around Norfolk was exactly what I had in mind after the briefest of test

Afternoon Mr. C.

The Rennlist Gent has a 'vertible 964 Porker.
Personally I prefer them uncircumcised.

Leaving the pub last week I tripped over the above midnight kerb crawler.
Doubtful that Ms. Whatty will be sanctioning any such Pork scratchings until we have a complete portfolio of domestic appliances.

Cheers, Whatty.

PS....

If any powerfully built executive directors of the EE Telecommunications Co. are reading this.
Where the fk is my broadband router thing?

I'm getting funny looks from my barista at the local community coffee shop.
One tea + free wifi for two hours?

Am I taking the piss? smile

Good luck with EE mate, I had an issue with them over a fake mobile account set up when I had my wallet pinched a couple of years ago and they were complete wkers to deal with, took me near 6 months to get my money back! For now I would just keep taking the urine laugh

Anyway just get Mrs W down to the local dump, there is always loads of appliances left there and voila, problem solved...........don't worry you do not have to thank me for my valuable advice hehe

Morning Mr. CoopedUp

The dump you say? I shall keep a good look out for a specific sized and colour Bosch dishwasher that we must, apparently, have.
I'm not hopeful of a quick result. laugh

I've expended no small amount of beer tokens on Bighorn miles to the 'recycling centre' these last few days.
Have to say that I preferred the old days of black bags and no questions asked. Bit of a faff sorting previous owner's treasures.

These bollards can go as well. Merely old bks according to Ms. Whatty.

Retrotastic but not entirely in keeping with the rustic nature of our new gaff.
Apparently liberated from some part of the London Metropolis.
Now bound for the Bay of E if they yield to Ms. Whatty's crowbar.

Cheers, Whatty.

I quite like them in a trilby wearing Riley 1.5 stringback glove sort of a way.

But lacking all of the above they can go.

Gratuitous Robin B'stard 7 engine pic for car thread continuity.

Not giving up on the Seven-thing. Where's there a will there is way.
Or an orthopaedic surgeon.

Bollards? Once the interweb is available to us 24/7 I shall commence on a sales strategum.

Fresh Pork? Nah I simply keep the old fob as a reminder of loves labours lost. wink

Now off to plough fresh fields in the old MoFoMo.
On road and off-SORNed.
Must get some suitably seasonal summer snaps.

Oh bloody hell, damn and blast Mr.C I was in GU5 on Wednesday.
It did occur to me on the M25 somewhere near the M4 heading clockwise that I could have belled you.
Suspect I'll be in the Surrey Alps before too long.

Don't even mention EE.
Apparently we're getting a Manhole Team and a 'New Connection' Engineer on Monday to sort this.
Odd really, it all worked fine for the previous owner.

Le Mans and the rest of the world have completely passed us by this week.
Still no internet but at least we have a home phone.
Good job we didn't spend big bucks on new address cards as our phone number has changed since we signed up. WTF furious

Funny how detoxing digitally wears very thin so very quickly.
Doesn't help income generation either - Ms Whatty not a happy virtual shopkeeper.

Did manage a blissful few hours on Sunday at Snetterton for the HRSCC weekend.
Paddock porn.

Luscious Lister.

Mustang avec Cobra.
Not sure what happened to the rest of the snake.

Formula Fords aplenty.

Classic Sportscars a go-go.

Entry lists were a bit thin across the board.
Shame.

Good job you can see for miles round these parts.

Cheers, Whatty.
