Thanks for all of the kind comments. It's good to know that I managed to get the colour combination right! The Liquid Yellow / Gloss black combo has not been done before on the Exige V6 from what I know, so we were in uncharted water. Also I didn't want to have the roof or front access panel painted black (like the cup cars) as I thought it might look a little too much. That said I was worried about the balance of black, especially with the spoiler and rear panel all being this colour. However the gloss black splitter and side pods seem to carry the theme through well.

I'm picking up tomorrow. Today is going to be a looooong day......

Stunning Chris. Have hankered after an Exige for a while, but have never been able to justify the impracticality, especially with the miles I seem to be doing at the moment. I look forward to further photos - and some video once that 2bular exhaust is fitted smile

Enjoy!

Blimey, that looks absolutely stunning! An absolutely fantastic choice of spec and colours has resulted in a car that looks truly wonderful. Hope you have a great day collecting it - I can't wait to see more pictures! biggrin

Just had a look on the Lotus website - I didn't realise they do an Exige S V6 Club Racer as well as the V6 Cup. thumbup

Quick update to say that I collected the car this morning and it's FANTASTIC!!!! The car is quick...really quick and I can't even push it plus the fit and finish is superb. Far better than any other Lotus I've owned.

I love it!!

Few photos

As the sun is out I'm going out for a drive biggrin

I've booked the day off work on Monday to do just that. A proper detail and wax to protect it.

I have to say that the liquid yellow is a very interesting colour that I'd never really spent much time with before. In bright direct sunlight the car looks really nice and yellow but then changes as you move around the car. As the sun dropped last night it started to turn more of a golden colour and then when I put it in the garage turned the light off (at dusk) you could have said it looked orange. Clever stuff!

Chris, not that it necessarily matter to hear this from a stranger on the internet, but you had great taste :-)

I love the Exige but have not really been feeling many of the factory colours (a nice blue / green but the rest seem a bit uninspired for a junior supercar). I'm not usually a huge fan of banana-coloured cars but liquid yellow has always been a great hue in my opinion. The other touches set it off a treat and a vocal exhaust is practically necessary for a V6. Bravo.

Lovely car, you just need to invest in some cleaning products now :-s

Whats your favourite product out of that lot?

Do you have to get out first and then push it in? tongue out I thought my garage was tight, but at least I usually have the roof off to aid matters!
