Absolutely lovely car there. BMW, Audi and to a lesser extent Mercedes.... take some notes. That is how you design a beautiful looking small saloon car. Jaguar are building the best cars on the road today IMO and I am a Merc owner. Great colour too.

Lovely so much more appealing than the melted C Class, Xerox A4 and 3 series

Very nice, do my eyes deceive me or have they let you buy one with a proper gear box?

MotorTrend rate it very highly albeit 335i vs V6S XE

Looks fantastic. Looking forward to seeing the first in the flesh.

I'd love to be picking one as my next car, but I just can't warrant the additional cost of a compact executive over a c-segment family saloon.

I'll take some more pics of the dashboard and rear of the car tomorrow for those that have asked!

I have just took the car our for a ten minute blast while the roads are relatively quiet.

Wow.

My last car was an Insignia SRI and it handled ok'ish for a typical repmobile.

Prior to that I had a mk1 Focus RS, which is regarded as one of the best front drivers ever.

The XE R-Sport is amazingly good in my opinion, the steering is so smooth and direct and the way you can feel the chassis just lock into the bend and grip is staggeringly good.

I just went around an island at the same speed the Insignia would be squealing like a pig but the XE just went round with no fuss whatsoever, as if it was saying "is that it, is that all you're going to throw at me?"

Body control is 1st class!

It's definitely a car you just want to go out for a drive in (like my RS was).

Only negative when in sport mode changing from 1st to 2nd the ECU holds on to the revs a little bit too long for my liking, before letting them drop.
I'm sure an ECU update will sort this.

Think they do this to make the gear changes and engine hook up smoother for when changing gear at a normal speed.

Going to enjoy my time with this car very much!

Yes and its getting smoother the more miles I put on it.

The autobox is very good, but its just stop and go!

Can't beat stirring a gearbox and driving the car yourself!

The motoring press have said this as the new ultimate driving machine, the drivers choice now!

It's very very good on the twisty stuff!

The reviews where the have pitched it against the merc and BM the jags come out ontop.

Lovely car although the new ford mondeo has a not too dissimilar front end I've noticed.

Good looking cars, look a lot wider in the flesh than I imagined, one was behind me and I thought it was an XJ, looked bigger than an XF. Also think the new Alfa Giulia looks almost the same albeit with an Alfa nose, then again most cars in this segment seem to look the same from the rear, apart from the droopy new C-Class.

My old man borrowed one on Wednesday and now he's sure he's buying one.

Probably going to wait a year and see what happens to the engine line up.
