Audi S5...my first V8

Shame about the idiot, but at least it will get sorted.
Those power figures look low? I thought these were 340 ps standard? the graph makes it look like yours was 313 ps standard and 337 ps tuned?
ETA, standard is 350 bhp
Apparently the ECU had already been flashed but with quite a poor map. I suspect there are a few reasons for the low power output......Audi are known to be 'optimistic' sometimes with official power figures, it's an 8 year old engine, more than likely needs to be de-coked and possibly a more realistic dyno (one of the other guys there that day having work done said that the figures he got on the first power run of the day were lower than the previous dyno he had done, however he left with a huge grin after the MRC guys had worked their voodoo). When I had my old M3 mapped the first power run produced 327bhp, compared to an official figure of 343bhp. The car had only done 40k and been immaculately cared for. Some cars appear to have higher real world outputs and some lower than official figures.
I thought it was a bit low too but it certainly feels quick enough for me. For now.......

Audi FSi engines are awful for coking up and strangling the power. Looking at the hundreds of B7 RS4's (same engine issues) MRC have de-coked and mapped I'd say get it de-coked and de-flapped (manifold flap) as soon as you can, you should make 40hp+ easily.
Exactly what MRC said to me and it's next on the list. Any fsi audi is prone to coking up, and according to der internetz the non turbo FSI's are particularly prone to it.
Catch cans etc dont work, as its the valve overlap which causes the carbon build up. normally CEL lights and slight misfires are the obvious giveaways of this.
I have a CALA engine code 3.2 v6 on 45000 miles and I will be taking a peak in there soon to see whats occurring..
Q. The non-resonated exhaust, is it an X, H, or dual pipe??

Nice!
Lucky to have a witness and footage to the crash otherwise it would have gone 50/50.
Is the map and exhaust on insurance?
Of course.....not daft enough to not declare. Usually mods don't affect my insurance....they just say that the expensive bits aren't covered. Hence when I hit the deer my M3 it hit the right side. .....protect the airbox was my slow motion thought. Lucky to have a witness and footage to the crash otherwise it would have gone 50/50.

X, h or dual???? You've lost me there bud. No options given....ttrusted the mrc wizards. Cannot recommend the system enough though....just done 550 miles in it and when cruising on the motorway it's near silent......can be made to be very noisy on demand though. 😉Catch cans etc dont work, as its the valve overlap which causes the carbon build up. normally CEL lights and slight misfires are the obvious giveaways of this.

Interesting that when they mapped it the drivetrain losses went down ?
Looks like a cracking car
Might be related to the peak power/torque being made at slightly lower RPM?Looks like a cracking car

My insurance said a Milltek cat-back would be free because of no power gain but a map would cost. Would be better if cost of parts could be covered on your insurance as well though incase of them getting damaged. Shame about the incident. Hope it gets resolved quickly.
Always thought these cars had great lines. They tend to look quite 'bulky' in pictures but are genuinely smaller in reality - I think by virtue of their big lights front and rear. I'll forever be nervous of them especially in this colour though - as an old boss of mine used to drive one and its' presence at the office meant we had to spend time with the a**hole!
