Upgrade to Fiesta or Focus ST from Fiesta Zetec S Tdci?
Discussion
So I thought I could save myself a bit of money as a student and in January Bought a 08, 62K Mile Ford Fiesta Zetec S Tdci.
After a few more 'spirited' drives, it doesnt exactly suit my driving style, I thought I could adapt to the driving style/engine but appears I don't. Im not really sure if I should change to the above options (which eats into my savings more than I want to baring in mind I haven't exactly got a proper job yet, as I have not graduated, and am wondering if I should just leave it and wait?
Or just think I only live once? I don't think the fiesta ST will be too much of a jump in terms of buying, the focus st225 hatch however I think will leave me with very little savings left, so I am not sure what to do?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I've had a mk5 zetec s and currently have a fiesta mk6 st and a mondeo ST tdci if you want the best drive get a mk5 s if you want the speed and handling get the mondeo. The fiesta ST mk6 just doesn't cut it. It's lacklustre and needs raggingt to get any real performance out of it .My money would go on another mk5 s but possibly with ST engine for best of both worlds. Although the mondeo eats both. Mines not exactly standard though and neither was my mk5 but the mk6 ST is bar an k&n. Still handles ok but not great .
OP: I guess it depends on the age of the vehicle you're looking to buy.
If you're talking about a Focus ST225, that's the i5 turbo, rather than the latest 4 cyl EcoBoost model, but what age Fiesta ST, then - presumably not the latest one either?
I tried the latest Focus ST then the Fiesta ST back-to-back. Whilst the Focus felt quicker, the Fiesta's definitely more agile - a terrier vs. a greyhound, if you will. Both wear the ST badge, but they're very different!
I bought the Fiesta. I LOVE it.

Fiesta ST would be the 08/58 2L Duratec Manual. (so 148/150bhp standard)If you're talking about a Focus ST225, that's the i5 turbo, rather than the latest 4 cyl EcoBoost model, but what age Fiesta ST, then - presumably not the latest one either?

Focus ST would preferably be a late pre facelift model so 07/57 in blue (friend has offered to sell me his next june before he goes travelling, currently has under 35K miles on the clock - only downside is I would want it put back to standard (he's put vents on the bonnet and a couple of other bits ) but that means spending quite a bit more money so not sure!
That said someone said look at getting a RWD car instead? S2000, MX5, MR2, Z3 etc. Only downside is you lose some practicality by having that too! :/

I have a fiesta st. Would def upgrade, takes corners like nothing I have ever driven ( hot hatch wise )
focus ST reviews aren't that good, the fiesta on the other hand is a true 5 star car and every publication backs this up... incredible little car.Focus ST with the 2.5T were exceptionally well received and reviewed favourably when they were released. Fiesta ST 2.0 was not so universally praised.
OP is not looking at brand new cars.
