The window winder may well not be a duff motor - i'd be surprised if it had been used enough to create significant wear to the brushesm adn nothing else really wears - but could be the congealed grease of ages. It is often thus on old motahs with slow windows, especially when the slow one is not the (most often used) driver's one

Yep, I had similar on the old 900 - taking the scissor mechanism out the door, it would be quite happy to stay in any position you moved it to. With a bit of cleaning and re-greasing, it turned into a bloody lethal spring-loaded guillotine.

An old wheeler dealers did the same thing. I think it was a range rover, but you'd get the idea...

I am more a Lidl loyalist.

BTW, one of the pictures in the boot is probably worth more than all of my vehicles put together (yes, I do mean more than a tenner), but it still got slung in the boot with all the rest of the tat.

Me too , although i do get drawn into the Lidl centre isle of wonderful tools far too often ......,i still have not used that microscope .
