Economy will creep up, although it's nothing brilliant. Mine seems to have stabilised around 35mpg with varied use.

Wet weekend to the coast

Averaged 38 mpg. Lots of rain.

500 miles in now.

Hilarious fun apart from from the 15/20 times it tried to kill me with aqua planing on friday evening hehe

I've 17,000km on my ST. My commute's a mixture of fast A/B roads, some motorway, some crawling along. Usual fuel consumption's around 38/40mpg.

I've not suffered any aqua planing. Crappy road surface + tyre pressures?

I'd like one of these some day, and judging by this video it looks like an ST is a foolproof fast car:

Him and his mate are lucky not to have a head on crash at 12:00 redface and both are driving dangerously fast.

Such fun cars! Have had my 15plate st3 since March and after 5months/2,000 miles the mpg is starting to finally loosen up. Mines sitting at 30.5mpg but that's all town driving.

How are you finding the ride?

My 2014 Focus ST does 24mpg round town easily on very short runs.

I was going to wait until my indy opened but I thought I best get it sorted incase it let go.

£26.50 lighter. No damage and all sorted.

Premium for Sunday opening I guess.

With tyres at least, I wouldn't hesitate with Kwik Fit. It's their bread and butter and they'll be well equipped.

Their workshop was immaculate to be fair.

Annoying tyre ticking now gone and back to ragging the arse off of the car hehe

I've got a red ST-3 and I absolutely love it. But god is the ride bad, the seats are fantastic but even those just don't make up for the ride. Mine is used to commute though, so there is that. Almost 16k miles in a year of ownsership.

Sadly I'll be getting rid in a month or so, going down the company car route. I will miss it dearly.

Completely agree! Although the I've just picked mine up and will be doing 10k a year in commuting! Ride is shocking but I't is such a fun car! Sounds good and is averaging 38 mpg and have only done a few hundred miles. One thing I've noticed is it seems to get up to temperature very quick?

Here's a pic:

The ride is not that bad! What the hell has everyone been driving before their ST's, Bentley's?! smile. It's the over-assisted brakes at low speed that annoy me.

Recently changed my 2013 Fiesta ST2 for a new Focus ST 250, mainly down to the ride in the Fiesta. It was fine commuting, but anything more than a 25 mile journey and the jarring started to get annoying.

Ride is much smoother in the Focus, noise and power is better ok too.

If you can tolerate a bit of torque steer its worth a test drive.

That said, for outright fun, the Fiesta takes some beating!!
