Thought I would share my S2000 build with you guys. I bought the car in May as a 22nd birthday present to myself.

Its my 2nd Honda, the first being an EP3 I modified heavily (And slightly stanced).

Here is it, 2005 Facelift S2000 in moonrock grey, currently at 86k miles, with an exedy stage 2 clutch, lightned flywheel, yellowspeed racing coilovers, 4x new eagle F1 tyres, strut bracing, engine torque dampner, full stainless steel exhaust system, Skunk2 weighted gearknob, few other bits i've missed out probably.

First thing I did was give it a full detail, spent about 8 hours on it.

I then decided I was not a fan of the colour coded alloys so I resprayed them back to silver using the old playing card trick.

Before:

During:

After:

I then also did the worlds worst paint job on my brakes, but they'll do for now.

Then for the part that people are going to have divided opinions. I had a set of rota grid drifts on my civic that I had mirror polished by hand:

HOWEVER, I sold them last a couple of days ago as the fitment was off and would have needed stretched tyres to fit.

I have now ordered a set of brand new Enkei NT03+M's in 18x9.5 et40 and will be running a 245/35 tyre front and back. This will fill the arches nicely without ruining the handling. Here is a photo I found of the setup:

They do have a very small amount of stretch but nothing much. Although I know alot of pistonheads will be 100% against this small amount.

Along with the Enkei wheels, I also have sitting at home an OEM rear lip spoiler, and a CR front lip (That was very hard to find) and the car will be going to the bodyshop on the 16th August to have the arches rolled with the bumper tabs relocated, spoiler sprayed and fitted, and CR lip fitted while having the plate screw holes and front Honda emblem removed.

I realise I will get some st for having a stanced car in the past, but feel free to comment on my current one.

Dont like the Rotas or the dropped look. But I love the cars, had a 2005 Royal Navy Blue Pearl S2000 at a similar age, was going for Moonrock but got a great deal on the Blue car. Great car, but dont miss it that much...

Engine & G'Box is brilliant. Enjoy it.

Couple pics...

Haha that was the colour I initially wanted but couldnt find any at the time! I should also add I got the car for an absoute bargin, being at 85k miles with full history I only paid £6400. Was hard to find a decent pre-facelift for the same money at the time.

Thank you! Just a shame the offset was too low to fit the S2000 frown

Tidy car, colour looked lovely and deep after the detail. Look forward to seeing it on the NT03s!

Car looks really nice, I think rota grid's suit S2000's so so well, not sure on the polished look though. The Enkei's will look great anyhow.

Still looks such a modern design! Might be tempted into one on day. You got that for an absolute bargain of a price, was it through a friend or something as that is unbelievably cheap? Surely it's worth close to £10k?

I know what you mean, but i'd had grids for the last year and wanted to change it up, plus its nice to have 'genuine' wheels for once haha, nothing against Rota I don't understand the hate they get as they're just as strong as other brands.

And I got it off a friend of a friend, was up for £7000 but I knocked him down on a couple of bits such as paint flake on bumper (Having that sorted soon anyway)I've always wanted one, and since prices have started to rise recently I thought now was better time than any!

That is one sinister looking vehicle, one of the best looking S2000s I've seen. Such a good colour combo.

Like the car but i'm giving you 0 out of 10 for front number plate positioning; it's so far off centre my OCD would have st itself if the impending mess didn't worry it.

Haha I never noticed that, it was put on by the previous owner, im having the whole area 'smoothed' by having the screw holes filled in and will be moving the position back anyway wink

Even £7k seems a bit of a steal going off others for sale on AT, fair play. And yes these will probably continue to rise over next few years so I'm betting you'll have effectively break even running costs for next few years.
Not a fan of the stanced look anymore, but each to their own n that.

Little update, got a couple of nice photos

But other than that, my new Enkeis have arrived at the dealer from Japan, and are now on their way to me.

From the way the photo's taken those look like 50" wheels or something.

Car's sitting pretty though. Almost impossible for an S2000 not to.

Very nice, should look good on the new wheels, you do need to lower the front a little more though as it's got a bit of reverse rake going on at the moment.

I miss my S2K a lot, I bought it when I was 21 then sold it to move to New Zealand, I want another one now I'm back but I can't afford one now and the prices seem to be on the rise.

I agree but im too lazy to do it at the moment and will do it when I fit my new wheels haha

Talking of those, theyve arrived:

Just need to get some rubber for them now.

Im currently running Eagle F1's and they are by far the best tyre I've had. Previously had Potenza re050a, Ventus V12 Evos, Conti Sports, but none have felt as good as these, so I will be getting them again!

When I got this car I told myself it was lovely as it was and all I wanted to do was give it some nice wheels and some OEM goodies. Im good at lying to myself.

I saw this picture earlier today, and now im going down the route of getting quotes to have my leather dyed tan, and red carpets replaced with black ones:

As much as I like the red & black interior, I think the tan leather looks absoutly amazing.

Also found a picture of the tan leather in my colour:

I have no idea why the tan leather is so rare in the UK, i've never seen one in person, maybe Honda just didnt sell it over here.
