Had mine since Novemeber...it came with AEM, K&N and full Miltek...I changed the interior from full black to now include red seats, and door card inserts.
Coilovers, alloys.... REALLY enjoying the experience... likely to be a defining period classic, world's best 6 speed box, one of the world's best NA 4 cylinders if not the best...RWD....

I like the Works on that mate
Thanks.
They're S1Rs 18"
8" front and 9.5" rear, "special S2000 fitment" direct from Japan...£££, I love them. BUT "Special S2000 fitment"?? et38?! took bloody ages to get them to fit and the car to sit right, and the camber required at the rear will see it chew through tyres I think... still, I don't do THAT many miles so they're staying.
Wheel choice is really hard and very personal....HOURS spent going through hundreds of pages on the S2ki website...really enjoyable smile

LOVE those seats, I spent many months looking over the same sets that came up for sale, all rather moth eaten, so in the end I went with red OEM seats and Backyard Special lower seat rails. Not ever having sat in those Recaros, I don't feel too hard done by. I recently did Oxford to Monaco and back via the Alps (including a 21hr sitting) and Oxford-Lemans...my back or any other part of me has not complained at all. The only issue is a getting out of the car without making involuntary noises... frown

Beauty of a car, always liked these. I'd just have it slightly more standard. But I'm a bit like that. I do think silver wheels look way better on your car though.

Thank you, I do agree the silver Enkeis were best, I bought a new set of wheels today though. They're WedsSports SA-70 in a staggerd fitment of 17x8 et32 and 17x9 et35 so will fill those arches and also come with a set of Federal RSRs.

They should be ok, "should" haha. They work out to sit around the same on the front as 17x9 et45 that a lot of people run with a 245 tyre so these should fit just snug.

The back I'm just putting them on and hoping for the best, used to have 18x9.5 et40 so shouldn't be too much worse

Small setback on getting my wheels fitted. My clutch exploded in spectacular fashion a couple of nights ago, it took out part of the gearbox housing and possibly damaged the flywheel and starter motor. It'll be going to be garage in the next couple of days to asses the damage. Annoying but these things happen I suppose. Should hopefully have it back on the road soon.

Haha tell me about it! Not sure how much it's going to be to fix yet as I've never had a problem like this in the past. I've had a look under the car and can see the flywheel exposed and the starter motor won't engage the engine.

The most annoying part is organising to get it on a flatbed to the garage from my house.

Any joy with fitting those wheels yet?

Thought you may like to see my recent addition. JDP rear diffuser, and some home grown side skirts and splitter..

I tentatively put mine up for sale the other day due to lack of use and a whole winter of it sitting in storage on trickle charge ahead of it... but I'm not entirely sure that I'm doing the correct thing and these photos don't help, haha.

Car looks fantastic, I even quite like the diffuser... it's got a touch of Lotus Evora S about it. cool

Cheers,
Grant

Ooooh risky move, may be kicking yourself in a few years time if prices keep going up like they are now! But understandable if it's not being used. Keep it I Say haha

Some news! It was the clutch plate that came loose and thought the gearbox was the best place to exit. Luckily a new gearbox on 60k miles from an 05 car only cost £270 and a new clutch won't be too bad. Let's hope it's back on the road by next week.

Lovely car, but bad luck on the problems and hope you are back on the road soonish. Those Wedsports are very light I believe, especilly in 17'', and should give you a nicer all round drive, especially the steering feel.
Just 1 thing if you are still running Eagle F1's. I noticed cracks on the inner walls of my front pair even with good tread still on them. It only came to light when she was on a ramp and the mechanic commented he had seen the problem before with F1's. OK, this was on a heavier car with more power and 4WD but you mentioned running a little stretch and mine weren't, so keep an eye out buddy

Thanks I'll check the Eagles when I get the car back, I'm still having the engine fitted unfortunately. They are very light though yeah, just can't wait to get the car back to fit them haha. I'm probably going to get them repainted gloss black rather than the black chrome they are now, I want to keep it OEMish looking still I think.

I've not updated this in ages. I've done alot to the car since so heres some updates:

I fitted the Wedsports with Federal RSR's for a while

I recently decided to have the car fully stripped back and resprayed, the bodywork was a mess, rust, scratches, dents, been keyed in a few places. I wasn't happy with the condition. I was tempted to have it sprayed something daft seeing as its my toy, riviera blue & bright purple were a few ideas, but in the end I decided to keep it OEM.

During the respray I had some work done, front arches flared, brakes restored in copper, bonnet vented, mugen lip added, new glass/windscreen, JDP spoiler fitted, mesh grill fabricated along with loads of other small bits.

Brakes, before & after:

Once it was done:

I fitted a Nardi steering with in leather with red stiching, really suits the red interior of the car & feels great!

Finally i've fitted another set of Enkei NT03's in 18x9.5 et40 with 245/35 Continental Sport Contact 3's, great wheel & tyre combo and the car feels great to drive. Grips great with a square setup on good tyres. Plus I think it looks absoutley crazy on these wheels!

(Yes I know I need to fit the numberplate properly, I just didnt have the heart to attach it to brand new paint. I'll probably end up attaching it to the mesh grill somehow)

Cheers biggrin
