Can I be rude and ask whether the rims are real or reps and if the latter, where you got them from?
haha - busted! They are indeed reps but lovely quality!Bought them on Ebay from a seller in N Ireland. Huge lip on the rears as these are 10.5 rear and 9 inch on front
Just go to try not to curb them!

Either way it doesn't matter they suit your car tremendously.. absolutely love it OP. its in the best colour too!
When I was looking for an E60 M5 it was either Interlagos blue or Silverstone, ended up with Silverstone.
I'm not normally a fan of modded M5's, I like them to look OEM but the wheels do suit your car very well, nice. The blue always looks fantastic when highly polished.
I'm another E60 M5 owner that has had no issues whatsoever coming upto 2 years ownership in October. Its on 58,000 now and I was thinking of selling it before 60k and moving on to an F10 M5 or F80 M3 but reading this thread makes me want to hold onto it for a bit longer !
I've had 2 out of the 4 rear silencers wrapped inside and although it sounds epic I was thinking of going back to standard at some point as the cold start is a tad loud. Your delete must be insane on cold start.

running costs....mmmmm....
not too bad.....
I bought the car at 67000 miles as it had just had a brand new engine from BMW under warranty with a bill to prove of 18,000 quid! Once I knew this, I had to buy it!
Oil service from indy was 300£
Major service including 10 spark plugs was 600£
One coil pack fitted for 100£
New battery cable and mot 200£
Pads and disks all round bought from ECP and self fitted 750£
2nd hand throttle actuator self fitted 120£
That's it over 18 months which i dont think is too bad. I paid 14500 £ for it and given the new engine I think it would still be worth that all day long.
wheels, tyres, springs were unnecessary but I like them and cost me another 2000£ all fitted
Ill try to get a sound file of the exhaust!

Thats handy - two of the bigger worries taken care of! Did the throttle actuator's get re-used from the old engine (that you know of?)
yes throttle actuators are original onesAt least you have the security of the new engine mind. Im jealous and would love an E60 M5 like yours.
