Good luck with the eventual new car. Still a shame what happened to your original one, but onwards and upwards.
Yeah was pretty gutted when it died, onwards though! Feeling the Saab itch again!!

Great to see an update. smile

Good luck in the search for another aero.
Thanks mate have you still got your 9-3?

Fair bit of work to be done just to get the parts off then I’ll see how it’s looking and go hunting for a new one.

After another manual, be a shame not to make use of the Quaife but the Autos another option. Aura have got these absolutely flying, 0-60 in 4.3!!! In a heavy fwd Saab!! Bonkers! I couldn’t get mine under 5!

Much like you did with that Juke, I went for a focus diesel.
Getting that itch to have something from Sweden again.
Might be a Volvo ahead. smile

Did you keep all that audio equipment from the other 9-3 ?
Seam to remember 3 amps to try at one point.

Some really nice Volvo’s around now cool

Yes mate still have them to fit, the speakers will be a pain though too chunky for the doors & dash so I can see these going to the shop to get done.

Still have the Denon & RF amps here smile

What about 60-100 and 62-124?

Not really sure, not many vids online for Aura but there’s an Aura tuned 19t on YouTube with a 60-90 just over 4 secs, that’s with 382hp & 468ft/lbs.

My 60-90 was 3.1s with the 18t from the Insignia VXR, my dyno run was all over the place though so no real idea what it was putting down, he just couldn’t get any traction on the rollers when it came on boost and couldn’t get a decent run out of it. JZW was convinced it was 400hp but I’d take that with a pinch of salt. When he compared it to the stage 5 20T cars they were pretty much neck & neck 60-90, they were dynod around 415hp & 530ft/lbs.

Quick either way.........until it went bang!

Not really after big numbers with the next one, if he can get similar performance to JZW with the same set up I’ll be happy. (I might flog the 18t and go for a faster spooling billet job though)

Sorry to go off topic a bit, wondered if you may be able to help with some information?

My sister has 2.0 Aero but keeps getting the stability control error. Is this only going to be repaired with another cim?

Also, do you know if it is possible to code in new key? One of hers has stopped working.

Thanks.

I can’t help there sorry, never had that error but I know a few have had it on UKsaabs, they should be able to help.

Pretty sure they can code a new key with tech2? I had the fobs on my old 9000 & 9-5 re coded years ago so I think it’ll be fine with the 9-3

I read this with interest, was sorry for you when I heard it had gone bang, then to make matters worse you got a Juke.
I have a 2.0 aero hatch manual with a noob stage 1 and that's all, not sure it needs to be faster, maybe less crap suspension would enable it to use the power as it just spins up in 2nd.
It too went bang on the motorway earlier this year, imagine my relief when I saw the intake pipe had just popped off, screwed it back on and off I went!

Anyway I am considering selling it as I have decided I want an EV, although am loathed to as the bugger has been so damn reliable, PM me if you want another Saab. I feel like I want to save you from the Juke (although the seats do look nice).

Ha! I really like our Juke wink Wanted to hate it but it’s been great, only gripe is the small boot (it’s tiny!!))
The missis wants a white Nismo RS next....has my blessing

The Saab’s booked in next Friday to be broken, I did plan on stripping the interior today and get all the audio stuff out but it’s hammering down here.

Thanks for the offer but I’m after another v6 Aero, no mega rush to get one so I’ve got some time to find a nice low mileage car.

Re the handling, Eibach springs & Bilstein b8’s are a nice combo or if you wanted to drop it a bit lower go for H&R springs. I’d avoid Maptun springs.

Finally made a start stripping the car, all audio kit/wiring out and a few bits from the engine bay. After pulling the carpet there was a couple inches of water underneath! Carpet weighed a ton it was soaked!!!

Will be glad to get shot of it now, I almost went for a replacement engine but it’s probbaly rotten now won’t all the water in here, not worth fixing.

Was the exhaust not worth removing/selling separately before scrapping? Was it not a Prospeed one? They did my Legacy one.

Lol not yet but it’s on its way, pretty gutting driving behind it. Pointless throwing money at it though it was rusty was hell. Just got to find a nice v6 wagon now.

That's a good list of bits to come off.
Should keep them occupied for a while.

God knows what the bills going to be but I couldn’t bare scrapping it with all the kit fitted.
