Draw your own conclusions......(C02 minimising test regime perhaps??!!)
That's the reason - the car has to start-up in the condition that it was tested in for its emissions figures. So box in eco (or whatever) mode and stop/start enabled.

I don't mind the S/S technology. The BMW version is quite good compared to the VW version I had last.

Definitely works better in an auto IMO.

Glad you're still enjoying the car.

I have now been moved to a different division of the company so I'm having to swap the BMW for a different car.

The best option available seemed to be a 65 plate Volvo V40.

It seems I can't have a separate thread about that though, so I'll post about it here since this thread seems to be ok.

I've already seen it but I collect it Monday so will try for some pictures then.

What other options did you have?

Old stuff....13 plate cars with 80,000+ miles on the clock that weren't very interesting, eg two Focuses.
This seems the best bet.

That is what I thought - so now I have a Z4Coupe and a 325ti Compact!

Emissions = bcensoreds!

They're not bad cars, you may actually prefer it to the 1.

Thanks. Hoping to get it swapped over today as the office where it's parked is manned until 4pm.
So might just get some pics in.

I had a V40 as a hire car in Italy, I loved it as it was a bit quirky , quite quick for a diesel and seemed to use an amazingly little amount of derv.. Enjoy your new wheels
