That era of BMW just does it for me, they're a pure and raw driving experience. Can't beat them! smile

E12's and E28's are soooooooooo nice. Just classic BMW. Shark nose BMW's are very classy imo.

I like the body kitted and non-body kitted E28's, they both appeal to me.

Probably one of the coolest cars ever produced.

Would this be the car I've seen around Maidstone a few times in the last week or two?

If not I've seen a very similar one on the A229 Loose Road near the fire station, and somewhere else I can't remember!

Looked gorgeous, and damn cool! cool

Some recent pictures at a show in Uxbridge where we managed to get every model of M5 in a row, with an E12 M535i for good measure! Unfortunately the lens didn't extend wide enough to the F10 version...
SMall old world, I only got a very brief look around the show as I was 'working' but did spot yours and the lineup. It's proper! smile

A proper BMW!!thumbup

I like it with or without the kit!

Dog leg 1st gear IIRC?

This, the M635CSi and an E21 323i is probably the only BMW's I'd actually buy now. Stunning!

Another child of the 80's here and this bought back very happy memories of my late dad's e28 M535i (bodykitted + silver with black leather int.) Bodykit all the way every day.

See, my dad also had an E28 5 series back in the day. It was one of the first cars I remember enjoying riding along in as a kid. My dads not really a car guy, but he still remembers taking that thing out for drives 25 years later! I think about getting one sometimes but not sure if it's a case of "don't meet your heroes", or if it would be something I should do..!

I couldn't afford an M5, but even a regular one, I just love their looks...

My Dad also had one of these. I remember him stopping occasionally when we were driving along and doing 0-60 trials and timing it on the digital timer that looked like some sort of casio calculator. Was a fking hilarious car. Unfortunately when he sold it, he and I saw it in a ditch on a roundabout about 2 weeks later.

Hi there, yes that's me - I live quite close to the fire station so you may see me out and about a fair bit! My daily is (as of today) a grey '02 plate 530i Touring. I've just sold my grey Audi RS4 Avant (sob) which you may have seen or heard (Milltek!) if you live or work in the area.

Interesting that your Dad remembers it so well! The identical looking M535i with the same body kit is a lot cheaper than an M5, although prices are definitely on the up in the last couple of years or so. Different engine of course but still a lovely 3.5 straight six. Consider one now before they continue to climb??!!

Great memory (apart from the ditch bit) - the on board computer does look very much like an 80's Casio calculator! See to the left of the speedo in the picture below:

Hi.
I live just off Cripple Street, so must be quite close.

Next time I see you whilst walking or driving my grey 350Z I'll wavey

I'm not quite sure what the whole rolling eyes thing is, but was simply showing a tidy example of one of the cars Nors said he'd buy now.

I will look out for you, I'm just off the Loose Road near the Wheatsheaf. I think I may have seen your 350Z already actually. Mrs S drives around in a black T5 Transporter Sportline, slightly modified and lowered and with a T5 number plate, she comes past Cripple Street several days a week doing the pre-school run. Feel free to give her a wave as well!

I'll look out for that too, so expect her to tell you one day of some random guy in a Nissan waving at her like a maniac, haha!
