Yes will be looking for the 2ZZ and gear box from the Celica for now as I think 190 BHP in a 900 Kg should be good enough for me for next year .

Have you done Castle Combe if not then I would say it should be your next stop .

Toyota should have used that engine to begin with tbh. Never been there but would definitely be interested as it looks like a good, fun challenge!

I decided to stick with the Impreza partly because I have already started and done some hillclimbs and would like to see how both I and the car develop together and improve. I started afresh this season after my ex left with my old track car I didn't want to start again from scratch really, although I just made a list of all the parts I ultimately want and it came to £5k

It does need a rear arch sorting but is pretty much solid otherwise. Another big factor in it keeping it was the amount of knobheads you encounter when trying to sell one.... It's an absolute nightmare!

It was the various wheels that threw me, the current look is definitely the best version of the car so far! I had a Rev 2 non-turbo for a fair few years as a second car that I shared with my dad and always fancied a Turbo but as a few people have said most of the market seems to be pretty ropey or over-modified (or both!). Currently in an S2000 instead which I love, I must have a thing for cars that have a reputation for crashing!

Had the car aligned on Saturday at Elite direct in Rainham. Been there before and they've been ok. The printout looked ok this time but the car doesn't feel quite right after putting c.150 miles on it yesterday and today. Feels very sensitive to road camber so i'll have to look into that.

However, that hasn't ruined the enjoyment of it. Yesterday took the car through Iwade to a small lunch time meet, then along the Faversham road for a walk at Seasalter and Whitstable. Today is the start of a week off work with no solid plans, so woke up and took the car out for a drive around Westerham etc. Roads were not too busy so was able to push it along well in some places and enjoy the sound echoing off the tree canopies. Beautiful sunny day for it. Took some photos.

It's funny looking back from the start of the thread and seeing how many scars the car has picked up in 3 short years and 20,000+ miles in UK and Europe. Just now watched a video on youtube of a Ferrari 355 review, and found myself thinking seriously about which I'd choose!

Bit of a lack of car content currently as the S2000 is having the engine rebuilt and I've been driving around in a Saab Diesel! Just binned that off for a Civic Type R though, as I was getting rev-withdrawal symptoms with everything taking longer than planned.

I'm still following too Danllama. Mainly via IG though. Car looks great, I love the wheels, although, in my opinion, the wing needs to make a return... did you end up filling the holes?

I may have missed this, what offset are you running on the Enkei's? they seem quite nicely pushed out in comparison to the last wheels you had. I like it. I like it a lot.

And, circa 20K miles in 3 years! Go on mate! It makes me realise that I need to use mine a whole lot more and to not worry about things like rust as much. mines done 9k in 3 1/2 years....

Using your 2 as much as you do is an inspiration. do you still have the E36?

I've said it year on year, but I'd still like to meet up for a drive one day. It's a shame we're at complete other ends of the country.

Hi mate! I forget where you are, is it Wales? You need to make the trip to Japfest or similar one time, the number of mr2's this year was unbelievable!

Although i'm loving the wingless look at the moment, I do think ultimately the wing will make a comeback, probably once the standard bumper is on the car. The holes are only plugged with rubber groms. I just realised yesterday it's now 25,000 miles we've done! I'm actually starting to feel bad about it. Hopefully soon i'll have a house with garage, and the mr2 can be retired to weekend toy while it gets some loving. That's if I keep it long enough, I keep getting the urge to try something different but know i'll regret it. But yes, 9,000 miles is really not on, get out in it more!

The new enkei's are 17 x 8/9 and et38 all round, the old wheels were et32/38 so very similar. I've actually got 5mm spacers all round now though, as the front wouldn't clear the coilovers, so effectively et33 sits nice and flush. I do agree they seem to sit out much further than the old sparcos, but I think that's an effect of the dish on those.

The E36 is sitting at the end of my road feeling sorry for itself. It split a rear brake line on the commute one day about six weeks ago. On top of that the exhaust is beyond anti social, it's absurd. However, I do have it booked in to a mates garage on Sunday, they'll be sorting the rear brake lines, and fingers crossed will have an e36 box laying around, then I can use the mr2 less and get on more drift days!

Hi Guys

I am in need of one of these, air inlet pipe/elbow onto turbo of a Mk2 Turbo, pre-REV edition as far as I'm aware. 70mm each end with a 15mm take off. Anyone know where to begin with obtaining one?

Waiting for a piston! Annoyingly my 'superior' JDM engine has a higher compression piston than the UK/US cars which is on back-order, which reminds me I need to give them a chase!
