I reckon some SA3r 3-spokes would look great on yours. Gotta love a JDM 3-spoke!

I agree that the current alloys look a bit VW scene but they don't look massively out of place either. What ones you go for in the end?

Seat out is easy. Especially the passenger one. Two bolts at the front, two at the back and one out of the transmission tunnel for the seat runner. All the same size bolts, just not sure what size!
Probably 14mm's if I know Toyota laugh

I'll get a pic up tomorrow when they're on.

I do like the SA3's, and I decided if I wanted 3 spokes it would have to be them.

The main thing that turned me off of the current wheels is the sheer size of them - I've always preferred function over form, I just don't feel comfortable driving hard on 18" show wheels. The 16's i'm buying will be perfect for road and track.

Did you go for staggered 16's or are you going to go for a staggered Tyre fitment?

Eagerly await some pics! smile

What 16s you gone for?

They're Volks, 7" and 8" with decent offsets. thumbup

Sale of these show wheels should easily pay for them as well.

I can't see the photo's for some reason, which is adding to the intrigue of what wheels you have gone for. I'm looking forward to the update photo's.

I really need to get some proper photo's of mine. I have every intention of doing so whenever I'm out (my camera is always with me) but, driving gets in the way ;-)

Lovely day for a blast with the roof off though. I'm hoping this weather continues over the weekend so I can have a go!

I can't see the pic as my work internet is quite medieval, but I'd say that 18s wouldn't float my boat on the MR2.

I love that Japanese windscreen vinyl! I'll have some pictures up soon! I did spot those advans on facebook today but just don't have that much for rims at the moment. Plus I love the Rays I've just bought, and looking forward to being on 16's again smile

It was a stunning day for a blast today, did about 200 miles with the roof off smile

I want amber sidelights again now!

Here we go! The transformation begins. Got rid of the disgusting lexus style rears for Rev 3 factory lights. Much, much better, why anyone would take them off in the first place is a mystery!

And the alloys are Volks Racing CV Pro's. These are 16", 7j and 8j, ET38. I have a feeling the rear will need to come out a bit but i;ll see when they're on tomorrow. Didn't get them home until 5pm today so decided to just give them a good clean and will put them on in the morning.

Car looks transformed already, much better!

Liking the alloys too, nice dish on the rears. You going to keep them silver or go for a darker finish against the white?

The wheels look good! The tyres not so much though.

It's all rather moot, they turned out to be 5x100 pcd instead of 5x114. Gutted frown

Luckily seller is meeting me tomorrow for a refund.

Ahhh, that sucks man. Unusual to see those in 5x100. Will send you any links I come across for suitable wheels, I'm always on the lookout, which is how I've ended up with two sets of staggered SA3's biggrin

That's exactly what I said to him. I've rarely if ever seen Volks in 5x100, hence I didn't even check!

Yes keep an eye out mate, cheers! I'll be looking too.

Some really nice wheels on eBay at the moment:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Enkei-RS-17-Inch-Split-R... - perfect, depending on offsets!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Advan-siena-16-5x114-3-J... - bit rough, maybe worth an offer. Importantly they are complete - finding centre caps for wheels like those is an impossible task.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5x114-3-17-3-Piece-Split... - no mention of offset / widths. Could work?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-BLITZ-RACING-ALLOY-... - Staggered Blitz 03's. Nothing more needs to be said.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-BLITZ-TECHNOSPEED-Z... Staggered Z1's! Very rare wheel.

I see you have a smoothed centre panel between the rear light clusters, just out of interest mate, is the lack of reverse light not an MOT failure? Or do you have a particularly friendly MOT tester? smile

Shame about the wheels, I think they would have looked quite nice!

Thanks for the links Gav, some nice options there but I think I'm set on some CV Pros now smile

As far as I'm aware, reverse lights aren't a legal requirement but do need to be working if present...Well spotted though. I actually prefer the standard panel so will probably be replaced before the next MOT smile

Pod be gone. by Dan Jama, on Flickr

Unfortunately there is a little speck of rust where the pod met the buttress, but not too bad. Big thanks to SonicShadow for meeting me with the panels i needed smile
