Hi all just thought id put up some information about my teg that im currently building to compete in a race series in 2017/18.

The car started life pretty much standard i brought it from my brother on 80k and cat c but the damage was well repaired

i used the car as a daily for 2 years and made some changes first off was getting rid of the 17s

then i got some track wheels with some ad08s

then i started sorting the rust both underneath and inside the rear arches

next was getiing rid of the warm air intake that had been previously fitted

will bring this upto date tomorrow

Well i just thought id bring this up to date. At the beginning of this year which meant much more driving and as much fun as the teg was i didn't like the idea of doing 30k a year in it. So i had to make a decision sell the teg and get a track toy but after sorting things out i would of only had £2k to spend , or keep the teg and get a business loan and get a daily instead , so after all that the teg stayed and i ended up with a Alfa 156 (im sure i ll start another thread at some point)

With that decided it was time to take the Honda off the road and make serious start on its new path to hopefully becoming a race car.

First things first time to shed some weight (not that there is much in these to start with)and get rid of the air bags

Also had a slightly drunk idea to put an air feed where one of the headlights used to be and well....

will sort this soon anit quite decided what im going to do yet.

also took the car to an event at castle combe with another addition

while on track at castle combe i found an issue with 3rd gear in that when changing down it just isnt available i did some investigations and replaced shift linkage bushes as well as the other obvious stuff like gearbox oil change but all to no avail.

so that is currently how the car stands pretty much bar some perspex front side windows and more weight lost and putting in a decent bucket seat and super low rail

over this winter i plan to do a gearbox rebuild and possibly sort out an msa approved roll cage. will update this when i can. any views/advice gratefully received
