Awesome car! I totally agree the K20 is worth the outlay, a great high RPM engine coupled with a sublime 6 speed box! I am currently just trying to decide what chassis to put one in. I did a K20 supercharged Prelude a few years back, it was great but I totally miss the induction roar and especially the sound of the VTEC transition! I am currently considering a DC2 build like yours or a second gen CRX (not the rounded one).

I see a lot of people build these with the off the shelf engine mounts, are they rock solid? I had a 'soft' aftermarket rubber mount on one of my custom engine mounts and it was enough to shake the car at idle and rattle anything just a little on the lose side! In the end I remade the engine mounts using all the OEM rubbers.

What are you doing about your lack of power steering and the MOT?
Rover 45. It's a DC2 underneath that can be bought for a couple of hundred pounds.

You will be my hero if you do this.
Agreed.

I spotted you driving your Audi earlier this afternoon in Clay Cross, Chesterfield, around 12:45pm/1:00pm. smile

I couldn't find a thread on here pertaining to your daily so forgive me for going slightly off-topic.

Dave.

Just seen the pic on Instagram, hope all involved are OK (I guess so or you wouldn't be sending pics around) and it's nothing too costly!

Thought I'd update this as I've been rebuilding the car over winter following a bump at the Nurburgring last year! Still haven't cracked the 8min barrier but I did get down to 8:01 before hitting the wall after my fuel tank fell off!

Anyway, off back in a few weeks on the circuit days trackday. Tester this weekend at Cadwell Park, pretty excited!

Been following this on your YouTube channel.

Going to be superb when complete with all the nice bits you've been sent.
That shifter is a work of art.

Following on YT too, its going to be quite something!

You've gone for RSR's - how do you get on with the tyre walls? I went through the sidewall at Silverstone, but still had about 4mm tread on the main tyre...i've read a few posts saying they are v soft? (I still massively rate them though)

I've used RSR for years, never had an issue with sidewalls but I have heard people complain about them. The ones I bought last week are "XL", which apparently have stiffer sidewalls.

Just watched your last 2 vids, bit behind.

Even more impressed with the shifter after seeing it fitted and working.

Is the unit you use a business or does a group just rent it and use it for their own cars?

Makes a huge difference having a proper workshop to use.

No it's not a business, just something that my mate and his dad rent. I bought into it but I don't think I'll be there long as it's a 3 hour round trip from my house to go work on the car!

You won't be the first supercharged EP3 owner to regret saying that. :P
