I've the same car in red and hate the quad exhausts.
Have you managed to find anyone that'll offer a two x single solution without the valves?
Nope, I had resigned myself to the fact that I would need to get a custom exhaust fabricated.. along with an aftermarket/custom rear diffuser to accomodate the new system. I never went further than the crude mock ups in this thread (I'll have to re-upload some of the photos) either, but I cannot imagine that it'd be a cheap exercise. I was around £600 for a 3" turbo back system on an Impreza about 10 years ago, so given that this would be more complex and a decade later, I thought that I'd be looking at around £1000-£1500 depending on how difficult it turned out to be.Have you managed to find anyone that'll offer a two x single solution without the valves?
Well… no, I’ve not bought it back… but I’ve just spotted ST15HDG on Autotrader, now sporting 67k miles and 9 owners.

The visual mods aren’t really my taste but that’s a personal thing.
I didn’t realise that the value of a MK7 R had dropped quite so low.. it’s marginally less than I’m away to put my 8P S3 up for.

Yeah I'd agree with the high owner numbers and to an extent the modified part, but less so about the 3dr and manual part.. maybe trade will steer clear of the manual in favour of the safer selling DSG, but there are plenty of people who want the manual....but that's a 9 owner, modified, red, 3-door manual. I hope I'm wrong but it looks like ST15 HDG is sadly drifting down to a level where it'll end up abused with >12 owners and end up 3 cars high at the local scrapyard, which is a shame.. I still remember collecting it after waiting so long for it to arrive.

Sad now that you can’t get that combo of car anywhere in the vag group anymore
No 3 doors and no manuals and how often do you see red cars now.
9 owners in 10 years though… not sure about that
I agree, it's a real shame that manufacturers have steered away from the 3dr versions. No 3 doors and no manuals and how often do you see red cars now.

I think smart money (in the long term) would be to buy a MK7.5 GTi Performance in 3dr with a manual gearbox, precisely because they don't make them anymore and are very unlikely to go back now.
The owner numbers of my R was a bit shocking to me too.. I leased it from VW then bought it at the end of the lease, so it was 2 owners when I traded it in at the tail end of 2017. So it's had 7 owners 7.5 years.. that's a healthy turnover of ownership. I could understand if it was a big snorting V8 which people bought and then found too pricey to run/repair, but I can't explain it when it's a VW Golf which could do 30+mpg and wasn't expensive to service/run.
