No problem. In even better news, she's now road-legal again! biggrin She's also had a quick polish and frankly I can't wait to drive her home, crack open a beer and just sit and look at her.

Is that what they are? To be honest I always thought they were East-Bear, but they came on the car from Japan so I've never actually known!

This is probably the time to admit that I actually prefer the OE mirrors!

Gave her a quick wash and took some photos around the corner. Happy to say she's bedding-in fine - sounds amazing!

Still need to clean some bits up and sort a few snags. Then I'll throw some fuel in her and get some proper photos! biggrin

I'd love a GT86 as a daily to be honest, I love the interior!

Couple more pics:

Also had a little play around in Photoshop to see whether I prefer the look without the front plate. I actually like both...

Also, any plans for new wheels? I think some BBS CHR's will finish it off!
I'm not sure, the OE Enkeis have really grown on me and they're nice and light. All the wheels I seem to like are cheap cast wheels, maybe I have no taste! Really like the look (and price) of JR18s at the moment, but will at least wait until these new tyres are dead.

[quote]14? And the rest! Or does that just refer to the revised bumper spec?
You're right, as a '92 car she's 24 years old! The revised-bumper is 99-onwards, mine is simply a copy as I don't think I could afford a real one from Mazda.

Cheers guys! Camera is a Nikon D800. Hoping to find the time this weekend to shoot the car properly and also hoping to get it in the studio soon as well.

Quick pic of both my cars from my phone this aft. Really happy with both of these at the moment! Engine is settling in nicely on the RX and a new set of tyres has transformed the little postman pat wagon.

Excuse the blue-steel look, I'm actually just trying to figure out if the camera is working or not tongue out Going to give this another go at night I think and do a proper job of it.

Cheers guys!

I've always loved the 99-spec front. I think the earlier-spec bumper looks great on a lowered car, but somehow just looks dated at normal ride-height.

I've got to admit I've never really looked at the side-repeaters and thought anything of them, but not sure they fit in now with the clear lenses on the bumper. Thanks for the tip about Probe ones!

Had a play with one of the studio shots today - unfortunately haven't really found the time between jobs to work on my own stuff. Should look nice printed on metal in the garage though hopefully.

Thanks chaps!

Put around 850km on the new engine. For all intents and purposes it probably is run in by now, but with the Apexi PFC still away being repaired I darent push it hard yet.

Cheers folks. Been too busy to get round to editing this studio set, here's another basic shot for now:

Thanks guys. Lighting is dead-easy on this - two studio heads fired at the walls and floating-roof.

Sorry yes, should have mentioned! I'm partnering up with a studio to do automotive shoots so I used my car as a bit of a practice session. Here's a quick BTS, though set-up for a different shot. As you can see, I don't use a lot of kit. In fact I prefer using one-light and compositing the frames together.
