Hello all, following on from my Clio 200, thread here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I recently upgraded to a Megane 275 Trophy. This one is spec'd with Ohlins, Recaros, RS Monitor, and all the usual goodies. In a word, it's amazing. It goes and handles fantasically, and is a massive upgrade from the Clio. Despite how much I love the CLio, this is so much better to drive. It's also much faster. Still getting used to the power so far.

Here are some pics, I hope you like smile First shot is with my M8, the last two with iPhone 6. Lens isn't too shabby on that I must say!

From one Megane owner to another - welcome! Such a good car - I couldn't imagine driving anything else : )

Thanks guys. It's a great machine alright. Excellent performance yet still reasonably economical. I let my older brother have a drive in it on Sunday and he was in love with it after ten minutes! Lots of "f*ck me this thing drives well I'm going to have to get me one!" biggrin

Plans are just maintenance and keeping it clean really. Maybe some Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tyres in summer.

I'm seriously considering selling my Integra and Golf for one of these. Great cars. Enjoy.

Not bad mate, not bad. Always liked these for what they can do.

Looks very nice. I was tempted by a used one of these but models specked with the ohlins are few and far between. I've ordered a new cup 275s with recaros, akra and ohlins to replace my golf R. Have you experimented with the ohlins and found a good B road setting?

Hi, sorry haven't been on here in a while. It's on 'fast road' setting currently which I find perfect. Firm but compliant and it absolutely sticks and feels so planted even on roads where my Clio 200 would scrabble for grip and lose traction. It's due it's first service soon. Only thing I have done is fitted some Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres a few months back. These make it even more awesome. Still really enjoying the car it's fantastic. smile

They are cracking cars. I drove a yellow trophy before settling for my 265 and I loved that. The recaros are brilliant (so much so it was a must have feature of the car, which I have in mine) and the Ohlins I found to be really good too!
Cracking car!

They're brilliant cars, easy to live with, even with the Cup chassis.

What are the Cup 2's like day to day? Thinking of getting them, but heard stories about how they're st in the wet.

I'm also interested in your thoughts here OP as Cup 2s are the front runners to replace the MPSSs I currently have fitted.

I'd love Super Sports, but they're not available in my size rage
