Fitted new front upper control arms this weekend. I think it was still on the originals at 65k miles.
Old ones

New

Hopefully will tighten the front up a little bit.

Getting 4 wheel alignment done at IA Motorsport at the end of the month. Never had it checked all the time I've owned the car so thought it would be a good idea especially after fitting new arms.

It's running spot on, just looking forward to the better weather.

Have now bought a F80 M3 so after nearly 4 years with the M5 it is now up for sale. Going to really miss it as although the M3 feels great and is much newer I still feel the M5 is a one off special car with that V10. Just wish I could have kept both cars. Someone is going to get one of the best E60 M5's left on the road.

Good luck with the sale, you need some more pics in the ad though!

The M3 will be much better on fuel I reckon, more miles to enjoy it for the same petrol!

The M5 must've been incredible though, but the extra torque and lower weight of the M3 will surely come in handy.

Update on My old M5, the guy I sold it to has just traded it in after owning it for about 15 months. I know him very well and he certainly looked after it just like I did. He fitted some 167M alloys only a couple of months ago which really suit it. Its for sale now at SJ specialist cars in Wigan and just come upon the PH adverts today. Whoever buys this will get one of the best examples their is left on the road, it really is that good and drives spot on.

Didn't think to put a link, thanks. Wish I could buy it back but I have no use for it and it wouldn't get used.

I have just come off the phone to a friend this morning who also owns an E60 M5, 55 plate with over 140,000 miles on the clock. He rang me from Germany to tell me he did a trackday at Spa yesterday in the M5 and is now on route to Rome. So driving from London to Rome and a trackday. He’s done this every year for the last 5 years in this car with no warranty and it hasn’t broken yet! Bought the car on 60,000 miles.Ots had a clutch and rod bearings at about 95,000. When this one breaks he’s going to buy another he likes them so much. They aren’t all trouble.
