Don't cheap out, use quality shocks and bushes or the handling will suffer.

make sure you get gas ones

455PC0112 and 455PC0132 at GSF
I was going to go for bilstein b4s and lemforder arms-tims to do more research!

Lemforder wishbones will be fine but as said, some of the chepo ones are absolutely shocking or just don't fit. Probably knackered "P" bushes and worn out droplinks and maybe sloppy track rod ends.

When you try and get the droplink off you'll find the nuts just spin. Put a jack under the arb end and push it up to stop the ball joint spinning then undo the nuts as far as they will go then just cut them off as chances are the nuts won't come off completely.

Buy new pinch bolts from Peugeot for the wishbone ball joints and make sure you get the right size joint as there are two which from memory are 16mm and 18mm. Yours will likely be the larger type. You'll need a splitter as they're a tt to get out and don't pull the driveshaft out of the gearbox.

Miss my 306 frown
Great info ta for that!

It's earned its keep by helping rescue 1 e30, and taking me to collect another for MOT

I also took the chance to have a quick swatch underneath, and was pleasantly surprised to find an exhaust system in really good condition!

Ye olde rugdoctor performed its usual sooky miracle

However, despite spending plenty time checking for leaks with a hose, and making sure the sunroof drains were clear, the leak has continued!

We found some water getting in at he base of the window, but it seems to just run down the door and drain out. That said it is coming in at the rear, and running out the front, which seems slightly odd..
Its really stating to annoy me!

Trousers at half mast please chaps - Poor Pug has Passed on..
https://youtu.be/2aPqpek5n8w

What you are watching is a stoically steady fuel pump pulley - It should rotate when the engine cranks.

Looks like a lack of timing belt cohesion is has wot did for it, Capt'n..

Water pump
Tensioner
Bosch Pump conversion (best time to do it)
unknown head/valve/camshaft/hydraulic tappet damage

I decided the best way to sort this out was to give the bugger away.

True to form my mate Joe (a Yorkshireman to trade) turned up to collect said chariot and wing it down South for some much needed head work(fnar)

He rather kindly brought some beer!
