LOVE this.....

there is one at my work (bristol) and it looks fab!

go you! its actually a great looking car made even cooler by the fact that those with no soul don't see the appeal!

keep the pics coming

JJ
Compared to a Ssangyong Musso or Pontiac Aztec, yes I agree. It is not by any stretch of the imagination a great looking car though laugh

It is certainly different though and for that reason, yes it is cool smile

Might surprise you. Only took about 10 days to have the V5 for my Civic - all correct.

So today I've grabbed the trade plates from work, got up stupidly early and am currently making the journey to Newcastle to bring the smx back home to Edinburgh. Fingers crossed it makes it!!

So I can happily confirm myself and the car made it!

It required a stop of on the way at a friends to top the fluids up (God knows last time they were checked), put some air in the tyres, filled the tank and off I went.

It didn't miss a beat, I'm delighted with how it drives. I've never had a more relaxing cruise up the A1, even if the jdm radio could only pick up Radio 2 hehe it's now safely tucked up ready for a valet, dent removal, Polish and new grill before the DVLA sort me out a reg...

So first job was to tackle the wheels. They were caked in brake grime and a weird brown dusty coating. I feared one this was removed they'd be rashed and bubbling. However amazing with 10 minutes work they've all come up pretty much as new cool

So, oddly for me I managed to get out of bed early this morning in time to do a quick job on the car. From the pictures I got from Japan I knew the car had an aftermarket front grill (if anyone has any info on it, who makes it? Is it rare etc? then have a virtual pint on me! beer). I wasn't keen on it from the photos. I was browsing eBay one night a month or so back before the car even arrived and amazingly found an OEM grill in (sort of hehe) the right black just a few miles up the road. Fifteen quid later and it was mine. It took all of a matter of seconds to swap this morning, just 5 screws hold it in, made all the more enjoyable working on as new looking non rusty screws! Here's a before and after, problem is now I actually think I prefer the slatted one paperbag Thoughts?

I'm with you - the slatted one gives it the full JDM look. Polish it up and stick it back on with your shiny new screws!!

That seems to be the general consensus among everyone, including myself so the slatted one will be going back on one the bumpers been tidied up.

Anyone want a Black OEM grill? hehe

So todays not so exciting update. Got a set of front and rear wiper aero blades from eBay for about 5 quid delivered. And gave the headlights a go at polishing as they were cloudier than a cloudy thing. Getting there but will need another few hours work I think.

Spend £20 on a Meguiars headlight restoration kit - attach to drill and voila in a very short time, your headlights will be like new.

Needs a fridge...... For beer.
A beer fridge!

Have you put your JDM rear view mirror on yet? Just to add extra JDM coolness....
