That is just perfect cloud9 a fast estate, Alfa, and that engine. Looks fab in that colour too.

Just for some balance I'll stick my oar in against the spoiler. Ruins the lines of a beautiful car. All in my opinion oh course! I prefer it a bit more subtle...

...hence why I went for an estate V6...sorry Sportwagon V6!

Interested to see what different your air intake mods actually make if get back on the dyno again

I too had a Clio (182) and did a similar mod to what you are saying.

I've also done a custom job on a MG ZS 180 (known to have restrictive airflow).

I always felt they were more free revving and a bit more grunt at the top end, but never proved it.

I remember your original thread on alfa156.net, it helped me decide a 156 would be a suitable track car. I did not forsee that I would get so attached to the car road handling and originality wise, else I would be doing some very similar mods to yours!

Bummer, bad luck frown At least you're ok, and you'll buy another car you love no doubt.

Looks like a hefty shunt. Hope you are okay. Cars can be replaced.

Cripes, that looks like a whopper - assume a spin on damp surface and a couple of tags of the tyres/wall? Assuming it's a track-only car, you might be able to remedy some of the superficial bits and rebuild, provided it's not structurally battered (the wheels all appear to be pointing the right way).

Blimey that looks like quite a knock - hope you're unscathed. On to the next Alfa?

Not good!

If the mechanical gubbins are all good - then reshelling is a pretty sensible option. Worth looking at how much of the damage is structural. A knackered 1.8 TS in silver will be about £100 - if it is all bolt on stuff, then it is a pretty easy fix. Clearly if the roof and drivers a-post has gone, then re-shell.

Had a close look today, both front side members upto front suspension towers are pushed to right, so the radiator, crossmembers and engine etc is all off centred to right. The engine and radiators are all still ok, it starts but im not running it as one of the pulleys is rubbing on bodywork. The gearbox appears to be ok, but stuck in neutral because the cables have become detached.

Subframe, floor and all suspension ok, steers, all wheels tracking true. All the doors open, infact everything still works!! Oh and the drivers seat the back of it is twisted.

As I was looking at that, the bits we can actually see in the photo don't look at all structural. I can even see the wing folded back along the line of the structural support.

If the front members will bend back, get yourself a 1.8 and replace the doors, wings and bonnet. My parts car is 612/a silver, but I want the wings and bonnet off it. Got bumpers and doors! I only bought it because I wanted the boot lid and wings - getting those separately was about £50 each. Getting the whole car was £82 + petrol money.

Did 120 miles in mine today, reminded me what great machines they are, worth saving.

I shall have to look after mine!

He says knowing the anit-roll bar is knocking, new front tires needed, theres an oil leak from the top of the engine, the heater won't blow into the cabin, the rear wiper is broken, paint on the wheels is going...

The joys of Italian ownership...

Sorry to see another one in the wars, hopefully it can be rescued!
