2016 AMG A45 - An ode to simplicity? Not really.
Discussion
Just picked up a fully optioned 2016 AMG A45 in Mountain Grey as a daily. Owned a Scirocco R, Golf 7R and F80 BMW M3 prior to getting this.
I'll admit that I currently have a love-hate relationship with the rear spoiler and the bold interior design is not for everyone. It is however a decently quick car - 4.16 to 100km/h and with an all-wheel drive system, (front biased of course) it does serve as a great daily.
Obligatory pics:
More updates soon!
Cheers

I can see why you're torn on that spoiler OP, it's a little bit Fast & Furious. But that said, the cars performance backs up that look and without a rear wing these can look a little bit too subtle for my liking.
Great car though and looks fantastic in that colour. As very fast daily driver that's pretty spot on. Hot hatches make great day to day cars if you want performance and that's more a hyper hatch!

I absolutely love that, OP.
I looked into the A45 recently (2012 model), although went with another Mk6 Golf R. The A45 is still holding strong money that I couldn't quite stretch to... yet.
Out of interest, did you compare with RS3? And if so, what were your reasons for choosing A45?
Enjoy!

Great colour; spoiler could be toned down maybe 50% and still keep the look. It isn't ugly or offensive, just a little bit incongruous perhaps.
Totally agree, the spoiler takes it from purposeful and stylish to Halfords chav in one move. The car looks amazing in that colour though, do you have and interior photos?
Nice looking car, cool colour, very nice wheels. Spoiler I'm not sure about but I'd have to see it in the flesh. I saw a new Civic Type-R in the flesh the other day and it looked better than I thought. The big wing was at least in-keeping with the rest of the bonkers design.
The only thing I'm not really fond of on these is the interior - the ones with the screen (which I presume is most or all of them) do look a bit like they designed an interior, forgot to put a screen in, then someone glued an ipad to the dash.
Other than that they look gorgeous when specced right and they do sound very rally-rep when giving it some. I do find the exhaust a bit inconsistent though - doesn't do much when giving it full welly, then seems to crackle around tesco's car park.
