The only thing I'm not really fond of on these is the interior - the ones with the screen (which I presume is most or all of them) do look a bit like they designed an interior, forgot to put a screen in, then someone glued an ipad to the dash.
Audi have started doing this on the A4 now too and Merc have them across the range. I agree, they look like and afterthought.

Well I have to say, I like that a lot.

Ecain's wrapped green one is the complete opposite, both awesome!

That looks lovely. I looked at these before buying the F80 M3. It was the price that put me off. How do you find the drive compares?

Nice looking car, cool colour, very nice wheels. Spoiler I'm not sure about but I'd have to see it in the flesh. I saw a new Civic Type-R in the flesh the other day and it looked better than I thought. The big wing was at least in-keeping with the rest of the bonkers design.
Interesting, because from pictures and road test videos I loved the Civic Type R. Went to a Honda dealer in West London and it's horrible
Inside is horrible. The bodykit doesn't fit properly (looks like someone stuck on some plastic arch extensions). None of the vents are real. Too little tyre on the wheel. Etc etc.

The A45 looks BORING without the wings and splitters and canards.
By chance I saw two A45s near enough side by side in traffic. One looked like an SE diesel and the other was immediately recognisable as an A45 with the wings etc. I appreciate not everyone may want a loud shouty car but IMO they look awful without them.

Not sure why the "colour" is so popular - it's standard Germanic boredom, something greyish between white and black!

If I wanted spoilers and shouty I'd go for a Focus in lairy green or Smartie orange - much better!

A45 might be a fantastic car right now, but doubtless has ruinous potential out of warranty!

Ready to be shot down........

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Over the past week, I've made subtle but considered changes to the AMG - (1) H&R Lowering Springs and (2) Volk Racing Forged Wheels

The forged wheels have made a tremendous improvement in acceleration and handling seems a tad more precise now. No plans to tinker with the ECU or power outputs as I'm pretty happy with what its producing ....for now.

For those who asked how I'd compare it to the tuned Golf 7R? Well, it lacks the outright pace of the tuned Golf from a standing start but it is simply the more brutal, urgent and frenetic car at higher speeds up in the power-band. The steering, whilst typically muted as is the case with most AWD hatches, does offer glimpses of feel and feedback which is always nice.

Here is how it looks now, a week after I took delivery of the car:

More updates to come soon.

Cheers

Cheers guys.

Coming from an M3 with 6 cylinders, I'd have to say that the A45 Is every bit an AMG with 4 cylinders. Gone are the days where performance sub- brands were dominated by beastly 8 cylinder engines. I've personally come to accept it.

For everyday driving the A45 (the AMG lol) provides just the right amount of fun. smile

It'll certainly get you to the shops very quickly!

I think the 4 cyl engine in these is an incredible bit of kit. Sounds like st, though! Bloody emissions nonsense ruined what could have been a decent hot hatch.

I have to agree! It doesn't come close to what it should sound like. frown

More pics:

The car is stock apart from wheels and suspension.
