I've always wanted one of these, I just can't justify giving the government £40 a month to have one! Did they do many of the later 2.2s? Do they feel like the poor relation?
Tax is the biggest sting. They are heavy motors I'd imagine the 2.2 would be...sedentaryAbsolutely superb - well done OP.
Drunk bidding on eBay.de last Christmas I bought a 407 Coupé V6 HDi with the same drivetrain for very little money, if the autobox and particulate filter hadn't have been borked (undisclosed by seller, grr) I would also be wafting in something French...!

I needed an estate for my bikes etc lol so ended up with a saloon with no folding rear seats!!
So the first little gremlins tackled.
Noticed a small rainbow puddle the other morning. Uh oh. Well on investigation it appears a Citroën balls up. Fluid was diagnosed to be LDS. It's pretty hard to gauge a level in the tank. Basically the procedure is put it in lowest mode and then check. Clearly this was done wrong as a jet of fluid poured out when set on low, so after clean up level set lovely fresh LDS.
Next thing was parking sensors. The system saying its in fault. Unsure whether it was a simple sensor or ecu. I took apart the Bosch unit in the rear foot well and it looked like it had been under the sea. Going back through the history the car had a rear sealing issue on the rear lights (a common fault) and probably been left with too much water in it. The now sealed back had not been dried out properly and had gone a bit damp. So now it's all dry, I'll keep a dehumidifier in the footwell for a bit.
Lexia scan revealed in fact the Bosch unit it borked so a fresh one is winging its way from France.
As an ownership experience, literally loving the car, its stupidly quiet and tbh I have noticed a step.change in my driving, I'm driving calm, arriving calm and arriving with a smile. It's a total hoot being in a car that's way too big and daft for me.
Anyone wanting one get one!

How does that work then? I've just purchased a c5 estate with the 3ltr V6 instead. Can't bring myself to take dogs in a C6.
I have the lounge pack with the TGV seats so they electrically recline therefore fixed.Easy enough to find one with out.
Oh and quickmoose there are some on cheap tax (55plates) über rare though add on top its pot luck what spec you get.
Dash and other things are personal preference obviously, personally speaking I love the interior its nice without being too weird and the door bins are fabulously over engineered and pointless. I do see you point on a one pronged wheel a la CX.
C6 isn't a sensible car for any solution tbh I think that's why I've always wanted one. It's the answer to a question no one asked.
