1975 Jaguar XJ Coupe 6.0 V12

It’s almost going to be sad to see this thread come to a close with the completion of your car.
As a big fan of the XJC I’ve loved following the progress of yours and Rob’s coupes.
Two similar cars but each has taken a different route.
I hope at some stage in the future we get to see the two completed cars together.

That would be a good plan could get the two cars and the Retropower car all to a PH event As a big fan of the XJC I’ve loved following the progress of yours and Rob’s coupes.

I really do like the squadron blue, but I'm curious to see what it comes back in. Mango could look interesting, or maybe something even brighter
I suggested Audi Merlin Purple and gold wheels so it matches his Project 8 Making good progress on the car this month
Engine all fully done, driving and most importantly stopping now the brake master cylinder has been sorted. Dashboard is starting to go back in and the interior wiring and audio is up next. Then we will be sticking the original seats back in and some basic carpeting so that we can MOT it, get it on the road and shake it down for a couple of months before going in and having its full retrim as planned
Here it is this morning enjoying some fresh air in a socially distanced meeting with Harry Metcalfe’s car

That looks absolutely stunning!!!
Thanks, still a couple of things to do on the outside. Wheel centre caps, door mirrors and the screen surrounds and side window surrounds will all be done in the next few weeks before the shake down period. Oh yes and the numberplate Mr lestat said:
Very good idea for a shakedown period for a month or 2 to iron out any niggles, make sure everything works as it should, no leaks, squeaks or rattles. When do you think it will be finished ?
I’m going to do that over the summer so put 5-6k on the engine so it can go back about October time for any tweaks I want to make, first service on the engine and then the full retrim so probably 100% finished for Christmas. If I can do it earlier I will but other priorities over the summer Alfa Pete said:
I didn’t notice Craig’s but that dark metallic blue example looked very nice.
Will be interesting to see what Harry goes for with his colour and spec choice.
He is discussing it and asking for suggestions on his Harry’s Garage thread here. Yeah the blue one at the end is not the car featured here. Mine was outside getting some air when they filmed that. Will be interesting to see what Harry goes for with his colour and spec choice.

Apologies, hadn’t read back through the thread to see, assumed there can’t be many there and yours was the dark blue one he showed. Looked back through thread and can see it’s black, doh! Still looks fantastic though ParanoidAndroid said:
